Could go either way. Depends on the size and duration of a solar flare. I don't believe God intends to wipe all the life off this planet when he pours out his wrath on the sun, so perhaps it will be the "greatest" solar flare in history, but not a planet killer. I'm not sure how much of the destruction described in the Revelation is attributable to acts of God, and how much results from our actions. The Revelation Prophecy says God will "destroy those who destroy the earth". So clearly, there will be some destruction caused specifically by mankind and our weapons of war. That having been said, it's also made equally clear, some of the destruction will be acts of God targeting those who are responsible for destroying the earth.

The Bible is filled with figurative language and metaphors (especially the Revelation). In Matthew 24 it says there will be earthquakes in diverse places. In Hebrew, one of the definitions of "earthquake" is a "great noise". Often an earthquake is proceeded by a loud noise (sonic boom) that can be heard for many miles. The fire department I worked for received reports of these "explosive" noises all the time. Usually they were reported as suspected plane crashes, or a sonic booms attributed to low flying military aircraft. Often the "noise" corresponded to "seismic" activity in the area, and had nothing to do with airplanes.

How exactly is the word "earthquake" being used in Bible Prophecy ?! Is it being used figuratively as a metaphor for "earth shaking" global events ?! Does it refer to the "noisome" and "disturbing" headlines that herald these apocalyptic events ?! Does it refer literally to actual geological seismic events ?! Could it be a reference to all of these things happening simultaneously ?! The Bible explicitly states, "there will be signs in the heavens and in the earth". I believe it could be a mixture of both literal and figurative symbolic fulfillment.

I just pray that Volcanic Caldera under Yellowstone Park doesn't erupt during the Apocalypse, because that would be an extinction event for everyone living in North America.

Solar flares or Coronal Mass Ejections
The earth has lately been getting some reminders of the sun’s power, with a few solar flares. We are told how they can cause disruption of communications, but the news mostly focuses on the aurora displays.
I don’t waste any worry space about these minor events, but the CME predicted so comprehensively in Bible prophesy will be far off any scale and completely unprecedented. Joel 2:2b
The earths magnetosphere is a shield that protects us from the direct effects of a small CME. Auroras are the result of this protection. But we see that a CME could be the literal fulfilment of:

Isaiah 30:26 The sun will shine seven times stronger... and -

Malachi 4:1 The Day comes, burning like a furnace...., will cause –

Revelation 6:14 & Isaiah 34:4 ...the sky will roll up like a scroll....

2 Peter 3:10....the heavens will disappear with a great rushing sound.

Isaiah 64:1 Lord, tear aside the heavens, come down and cause earthquakes, fires and make water boil.

The tremendous pressure wave of this CME will force away our magnetic shield and will bring to pass all the effects of the much prophesied Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, a terrible and unexpected judgement of fire. It is stated many times to be a one Day event, that is 24 hours, one earth rotation. Therefore, all the world will be affected, we are told that it will strike first in the Middle East at their midday, Zephaniah 2:4 and the sound of it will be heard around the world. Jeremiah 25:30-31 Within 40 seconds, those living in New Zealand will hear it, at their 11pm at night. Those in other time zones can easily calculate what their time is when it is 12 noon in the M. So, we who are warned must take note of what Isaiah tells us in-
Isaiah 26:20-21 The Lord is coming from His dwelling place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their sins. Go, My people, enter your rooms and shut the door after you, withdraw for a little while until the Lord’s wrath has passed.

Expect and be prepared for – total darkness, extreme heat, powerful winds and earthquakes, then after it passes, no electricity, no water supply, no food deliveries, no communications, no transport and no rule of law. Peoples outside of the most affected zone will gradually recover, but life for all the survivors will never be the same again.

I agree completely. Former Secretary of State George Schultz advised the Council on Foreign Relations, "There must NEVER be another Arab-Israeli War. The next Arab-Israeli War will spread to Europe and beyond, and will engulf the entire world". Sounds like an Apocalyptic warning if I ever heard one. Before I visited this site, I confess I was having some trouble understanding exactly why Egypt figures so prominently in End Time Bible prophecy. I hadn't really "connected the dots" in a geopolitical sense.

Of course, Egypt has always historically dominated the Arab World politically. "As Egypt Goes, So Goes the Middle East". Remember the Arab Spring ?! The protests and riots of 2010 in Cairo and Alexandria that brought down the Mubarak regime and sent shock waves throughout the rest of the Middle East ?!

While I was considering the possible ramifications of a Russian/Arab coalition coming to the aide of the Palestinians militarily in West Bank, it occurred to me the Palestinian civilian refugees from that crisis would only have one logical path to escape the ensuing carnage between the Russians and Israelis . The Gaza Strip, to the Sinai, to Egypt. If only half the population of Palestine retreats into Egypt, that will be a flood of over 2 million refugees. It will eclipse the present human disaster in Syria by a hundred fold, and it would happen instantly.

If Russia moves at the same time to seize the Suez Canal (ostensibly to protect the retreating Palestinian refugees from attack), It would put Russia into direct military conflict with U.N. Peace Keeping Forces in the Sinai. The situation would escalate from a Middle East crisis, into a global one. The fulfillment of End Time Bible prophecy would come with lightening speed, and it would be as certain, as it would be inevitable.

How much credence do I give to this scenario ? I believe it's a 100 percent certainty.

I struggle with this daily. Are there even words to describe what is coming ?! Words like "catastrophic and horrible" seem to pale in comparison to what the Bible describes. Will I even be able to withstand the psychological impact of those events ?! Will anyone ?! How strong is my belief and my faith in God ?! Will He be merciful ?! Will that mercy and protection extend to my country, or will it only be vengeance and the execution of judgment ?! How can that not effect me personally as well ?!

I think on these things, as I stare at the ceiling of my room and pray, before I go to sleep each night.

Yes. I read all those. Not all of them for the first time. I also read where only one of the Apostles died of natural causes, John on the isle of Patmos died of old age, all the rest died rather badly. Deaths that included scourging, being skinned alive, being crucified for two days, drawn and quartered (being torn limb from limb by horses), stoning, being stabbed by spears and swords, and of course beheading. Then there are all the Christians who were torn to pieces by lions for the entertainment of ancient Rome. Add to that number all the Christians who been murdered down through the ages in religious persecutions carried out by other Christian sects and the repressive humanist governments of the 20th century. That's an awful lot of history and mayhem to ignore.

Now we're talking about a Third World War, that will probably include at least a limited use of thermo nuclear weapons, and a CME solar flare of an unprecedented magnitude that will effect the entire planet. Do I expect to survive the Apocalypse ?! No. Actually, I don't.

It is not that I don't believe in the provision of our Father. I know of His great love for me. But, I remember the deep hurt caused by the Twin Towers destruction on 9-11 that America still struggles with brother. And Lord Jesus said something about those times.
Luke 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

It is going to be a terrible time.
Matt24:.21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Now some pretty terrible times have happened in history that personally, I would not have wanted to endure or see my children endure. And for those who think they can endure it, have a blessed time at it. Think of how horrible the flood of Noah's day was. The great tribulation that Jesus spoke of will be greater than that. There will be very few who survive this. Only eight survived the flood.

There will be no wars, as such. Psalm 83, G/M and Armageddon are attacks that are all snuffed out by the Lord.
There will always be localized natural disasters, but the big ones as prophesied will all be instigated by the Lord. He will make them do exactly what He wants them to do.

Many verses say how we must stand firm in our faith and call out to His Name, that is: Jesus.
Those who do that will be protected and will eventually shout to Jesus as He Returns in glory: Blessed is He that comes in the Name of the Lord.

I just watched a YouTube video by Avi Lipkin. The only thing that could take-out Aswan dam would be a nuke, and Iran has previously threatened to do just that. The resultant flood would completely destroy Egypt by flood and nuclear contamination carried by the flood.

The prophesies about Egypt are clear, the Nile will dry up, not flood Egypt at all. An earthquake would break the ridge between Lake Nasser and the Qattara Depression, result: no water downstream for many years. Isaiah 19:5-6

The prophesies about Egypt are clear, the Nile will dry up, not flood Egypt at all. An earthquake would break the ridge between Lake Nasser and the Qattara Depression, result: no water downstream for many years. Isaiah 19:5-6

You're not citing the right scripture Keras, Isaiah 19:5-6 was just recently fulfilled around 2011 when the Nile began drying up. Isaiah wrote chapter 19 in chronological order making it easy to follow.

Before the tribulation begins, Israel will expand it's borders in all directions (Isaiah 26:15), she'll be at war fighting south into the Sinai, west into the Gaza, East into the west bank (and maybe into parts of Jordan?), and finally north into Damascus and Lebanon. Fighting against ISIS and a palestinian intifada. Then the rapture and tribulation begins (Isaiah 26:19-21).

Actually, after Israel's victories, she will sign a peace treaty in Cairo, Egypt with Turkey's help (Isaiah 19:23-25 Assyria is Turkey, Isaiah 28:15, Isaiah 30:2-3), and/but the peace agreement will be broken during the middle of the tribulation (Isaiah 28:18).

This battle with ISIS will fulfill Isaiah 19:16-22.

During the war against Hamas in the Gaza in 2014, Israel had attempted to get a 5-7 year peace agreement with the Palestinian Authority in Cairo, Egypt. After the next war, Turkey will be involved to orchestrate THE peace treaty after Israel helped the Arabs defeat ISIS.

Palestinian sources reported on Monday that a cease-fire with Israel was expected to be announced just before midnight on Monday.

The peace agreement didn't happen during that time but now you know where the 7 year peace treaty will be sign.
