I've been feeling kind of nostalgic for the old platform and all of the little intangibles about CF prior to the switch last year. Obviously there are other things too. I know you can use an 'old style skin' for the aesthetics, but it's not quite the same. I liked the icons and some of the avatars, and the different little stats and bits of info that were featured.

Has anybody else felt that way?

*I just want to note I don't mean this as any kind of dig towards the staff, I appreciate all of the work you put in to keeping this place running.

Yes I miss it sometimes. But I'm not a tech geek so change kind of freaks me out when it comes to the board and other PC stuff.

I think I'm just partial to vBulletin (the old format), even though as I understand it XenForo (this format) is based on that in some ways.

Goodness, I'd never try saying the word out loud.
Think I'll stick with "emoticon", from my old MSN days...
Remember when you used to be able to play games on MSN messenger?

Those were good days.

And the awesome chat feature on ICQ. I could be chatting with my friend at like 14, complaining about something my parents did, and then erase it! hahahaha

Yup, still miss it a little.

It surprises me that MSN Messenger(AKA Windows Live Messenger) had a whole number of features that are still absent in Skype, which it was supposedly "merged" with.

Of course, smilies are going the way of emoticons. There will be only "emoji" soon...
