Haggai 2:1-9 FUTURE. Haggai 2:9 the LORD will give PEACE. This is the MILLENIAL TEMPLE. We won't know true peace until the Lord returns. If the Lord says he will give peace, he means true eternal peace. Haggai 2:9 millenial temple! Haggai 2:1 Darius's name not there...FUTURE MESSAGE!
You're confusing the third temple with the Millenial temple. Do you know why there will be no walls around Jerusalem? Because the LORD HIMSELF WILL BE A WALL OF FIRE. Zechariah 2:4-5 Millenial ERA! Or are you saying the Lord will sit in the midst of Jerusalem when the third temple is standing? Wrong again? MILLENIAL ERA!!!!!
Zechariah 3:8 Joshua is a type of the Branch (Messiah) it says right here! Same encounter with the same angel. Zechariah 6:11-12 crowning the high priest as King. HE shall build the temple of the Lord! That's symbolic of Christ! He will build the Temple of the Lord Zechariah 6:13 the he sits on the throne of David eternally as high priest. He will rule with PEACE ETERNALLY! Do have the gall to suggest Christ is coming to build the third temple? Zechariah 6:14-15 is NOT speaking of the third temple. Joshua the high priest is a symbol of the Branch IN ZECHARIAH 3 and 6 for starters. Read Zechariah 3:8 he is a symbol of the Branch. Isaiah 11:1 Jeremiah 33:15-16 THE PEOPLE will dwell in SAFETY! MILLENIAL! Zechariah 3:9 this is the stone in Zion Isaiah 28:16 the SPIRIT of the Lord will be upon HIM. Isaiah 11:2 The 7 eyes upon the Stone are the 7 Spirits Revelation 5:6
Haggai 2:20-21 is a message to ZERUBBABEL! You have no concept of who Zerubbabel is!
If you want to continue to lean on your own misunderstanding, that's your choice.
If you think Zechariah 2:1-5 is talking about the third temple...and you're expecting Jesus to be a a wall of fire while the third temple is standing. Furthermore, that He will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem during that time the third temple is up...I rest my case! YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!
Zechariah 14:16-17 And Zechariah 14:8-9 speak of the same time as Zechariah 2:4-5. This is NOT during the third temple is era! The Lord will be king over all the earth and reign from Jerusalem. He will be a wall of fire around the city and dwell in the midst! This is speaking of the MILLENIAL ERA!!!
Like everything else so far, you're the one who's in error here. Zechariah does not prophecise on the millennium or the millennium temple. His entire prophecy is on the tribulation from the beginning to the end until Zechariah 14:16-21. Zechariah's book is a continuation from Haggai. Haggai's prophesied the beginning construction of the 3rd temple in the final days just before the start of the tribulation. The 3rd temple gets completed in the first year of the year of the tribulation. I already told you Haggai and Zechariah go together like Ezra with Nehemiah.
The millennium temple is mentioned is in Ezekiel 40-47.
Of the many comments I've seen people made, you're the only one that think Zechariah's prophecy is about the millennium. In fact, you're also the only person I know that thinks Zerubbabel is one of the two witnesses. /facepalm! Some of the prophecies he wrote are so obvious of Israel in the tribulation, not the millennium!
Zechariah 1:16-17 NKJV
16 ‘Therefore thus says the Lord:
“I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy;
My house shall be built in it,” says the Lord of hosts,
“And a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.”’
17 “Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts:
“My cities shall again spread out through prosperity;
The Lord will again comfort Zion,
And will again choose Jerusalem.”’”
Zechariah 1:16-17 is not a prophecy about Christ return in the millennium. It's about God turning His attention back to the Israelites to start Daniel's 70th week. The church is gone. God now focuses on restoring the Jews in the beginning of the tribulation after the beginning construction of the 3rd temple mentioned in Haggai. Christ's return is at Zechariah 14, near the end of the book.
Zechariah 2:4-5 NKJV
4 who said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying: ‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. 5 For I,’ says the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’”
Zechariah 2:4-5 is not about the millennium either. In the millennium, there will be peace all over the world, you don't need God's protection surrounding the city in the millennium. God is protecting Jerusalem during the first half of the tribulation while the rest of the world is under tribulation and war.
Zechariah 2:6-9 NKJV
6 “Up, up! Flee from the land of the north,” says the Lord; “for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven,” says the Lord. 7 “Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.”
8 For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. 9 For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me.
Zechariah 2:6-9 is also not the millennium as there's no war in the millennium until Revelation 20:7-10. Zechariah 2:6-9 is the middle of the tribulation when a coalition of Muslim nations will be gathered to invade Jerusalem and some will flee the city to escape.
Zechariah 4:11-14 NKJV
11 Then I answered and said to him, “What are these two olive trees—at the right of the lampstand and at its left?”12 And I further answered and said to him, “What are these two olive branches that drip into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?”
13 Then he answered me and said, “Do you not know what these are?”
And I said, “No, my lord.”
14 So he said, “These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”
Zechariah 4:11-14 is not the millennium either because this reveals the two witness located in the temple: Zechariah 4:1-5. The two witnesses appears during the tribulation, not in the millennium. And get it through your head, Zerubbabel is not one of the two witnesses.
Zechariah 7:12-14 ERV
12 They were very stubborn
and would not obey the law.
The Lord All-Powerful used his Spirit
and sent messages to his people through the prophets.
But the people would not listen,
so the Lord All-Powerful became very angry.
13 So the Lord All-Powerful said,
“I called to them,
and they did not answer.
So now, if they call to me,
I will not answer.
14 I will bring the other nations against them like a storm.
They didn’t know those nations,
but the country will be destroyed
after those nations pass through.
This pleasant country will be destroyed.”
Zechariah 7:12-14 is also not in the millennium. Since when did God decided to gather nations against Jerusalem during the millennium? And destroy all of Israel? This only happens during the 2nd half of the tribulation.
Zechariah 8:7-8 NKJV
7 “Thus says the Lord of hosts:
‘Behold, I will save My people from the land of the east
And from the land of the west;
8 I will bring them back,
And they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.
They shall be My people
And I will be their God,
In truth and righteousness.’
Zechariah 8:13 NKJV
And it shall come to pass
That just as you were a curse among the nations,
O house of Judah and house of Israel,
So I will save you, and you shall be a blessing.
Do not fear,
Let your hands be strong.’
Zechariah 8:7-8 and 8:13 is also not in the millennium. There is no gathering of the remaining house of Jacob as they've being gather together during the first half of the tribulation. You can't have Daniel's 70th week without the entire house of Jacob together back in the holy land to fulfill the Time of Jacob's Trouble.
Zechariah 9:2-4 NKJV
2 Also against Hamath, which borders on it,
And against Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.
3 For Tyre built herself a tower,
Heaped up silver like the dust,
And gold like the mire of the streets.
4 Behold, the Lord will cast her out;
He will destroy her power in the sea,
And she will be devoured by fire.
Explain to me how this can happen in the millennium, Fusion77. Lebanon is no longer exist as a country in the millennium as the land of Israel expands into modern day Lebanon. Why is Lebanon mentioned here if Zechariah is prophecy of the millennium?
Zechariah 9:5-7
5 Ashkelon shall see it and fear;
Gaza also shall be very sorrowful;
And Ekron, for He dried up her expectation.
The king shall perish from Gaza,
And Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6 “A mixed race shall settle in Ashdod,
And I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
7 I will take away the blood from his mouth,
And the abominations from between his teeth.
But he who remains, even he shall be for our God,
And shall be like a leader in Judah,
And Ekron like a Jebusite.
Same thing here too Fusion77. Explain why the area of the Gaza is still in existence in the millennium. Israel will expand it's borders into the Gaza too. There won't be a Gaza left by the end of the tribulation.
Zechariah 9:9-10 NKJV
9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
And the horse from Jerusalem;
The battle bow shall be cut off.
He shall speak peace to the nations;
His dominion shall be ‘from sea to sea,
And from the River to the ends of the earth.
Zechariah 9:9-10 is also not the millennium. Jesus doesn't return to earth during the millennium, He comes in the second half of the tribulation. You can't start the millennium without Jesus coming first.
Zechariah 9:14-16 NKJV
14 Then the Lord will be seen over them,
And His arrow will go forth like lightning.
The Lord God will blow the trumpet,
And go with whirlwinds from the south.
15 The Lord of hosts will defend them;
They shall devour and subdue with slingstones.
They shall drink and roar as if with wine;
They shall be filled with blood like basins,
Like the corners of the altar.
16 The Lord their God will save them in that day,
As the flock of His people.
For they shall be like the jewels of a crown,
Lifted like a banner over His land—
Zechariah 9:14-16 is also not the millennium. Jesus doesn't come and fight the enemies of God during the millennium, He comes to fight them during the tribulation. He reigns during the millennium. There's a difference.
Zechariah 12:1-3 NKJV
The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.
Zechariah 12:1-3 does not happen in the millennium either. No country will ever invade Jerusalem or Israel ever again after the tribulation.
Zechariah 12:7-9 NKJV
7 “The Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. 8 In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the Lord before them. 9 It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:7-9 does not happen in the millennium either. Jesus saves them during the tribulation, not in the millennium.
Zechariah 14:1-5 NKJV
1 Behold, the day of the Lord is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled,
And the women ravished.
Half of the city shall go into captivity,
But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then the Lord will go forth
And fight against those nations,
As He fights in the day of battle.
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.
5 Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,
For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.
Yes, you shall flee
As you fled from the earthquake
In the days of Uzziah king of Judah.
Thus the Lord my God will come,
And all the saints with You.
Since when did the Day of the Lord happen during the millennium? Zechariah 14:1-5 is Christ's return on earth and it happens during the tribulation.
Zechariah 14:12-14 NKJV
12 And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:
Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet,
Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets,
And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.
13 It shall come to pass in that day
That a great panic from the Lord will be among them.
Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor,
And raise his hand against his neighbor’s hand;
14 Judah also will fight at Jerusalem.
And the wealth of all the surrounding nations
Shall be gathered together:
Gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance.
A nuclear bomb does not drop on Jerusalem during the millennium either. Zechariah 14:12 happens during the tribulation.
*********************************************
The only place Zechariah spoke of the millennium is at the end of his book in Zechariah 14:16-21.
Zechariah 14:16-21 NKJV
16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. 18 If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
20 In that day “HOLINESS TO THE LORD” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the Lord’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them. In that day there shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.
Seriously, did you just recently started studying bible prophecy, found the message in
Haggai 2:20, got excited over your discovery and decided to share this find with the world? In case you don't know, some of us already knew the prophecy in Haggai before you joined this forum 2 months ago and already held discussions on the book of Haggai.
You've shown no knowledge on the books of Haggai and Ezra. Now you show the same ignorance on the book of Zechariah too. You're the only person I've ever heard claim Zechariah as prophetic book about the millennium. Do you honestly think the millennium is this doom and gloom?
