Okay so this is my problem. I always search for problems in my life. When I have exams, problems at work I don't really "make" one, because I "have" one. Strange...

I don't know why, but when I don't have one, I make one...

And it is always with overthinking things too. Let me show it with an example. I like photography, and one of my friends took a good shot from me. I decided to upload it on a site. Then I started to "search for" a "reason" why is that picture "not good". I know it's maybe a mental health issue, but I feel it is a general struggle too. Okay so after the "seaching" I found a "reason". I know this friend for a long time, and once like 4-5 years ago I remember He worn a "666" badge. I don't really think he knew what it represents he just thought it is "fun" to wear it. Okay so I started my overthinking. He worn the mark of the devil, and he took a photo of me, so the photo is "evil" too, I should not share it... I know it is stupid and really strange but I need some advice about it. I make myself things to worry about. What do you think about it? And this concrate example?

 You definetely have anxiety, and I don't fully know what the answer is yet, as I am struggling a lot too, but I just wanted to reply to your thread, so at least someone did anyway.

And possibly there may be some low self esteem issues too? Thinking a photograph might be bad?

Maybe make conscious ways to look at why a photograph may also be good, and try and look into the positive aspects of life too. And read that bible verse by your username ;) And 1 John 4:4. Don't be scared of the 666 thing. You're a child of God, who God has lovingly created, and there is no need to think that a photograph of you is evil/horrible etc. You know you are not involved in any occult based things, you have nothing to fear about what someone was wearing.

And yeah, just stop searching for reasons...resist the urge. It's clearly not helping. Just try praying instead. I don't mean to sound patronising, saying obvious stuff, I know anxiety is really really HARD. But just try and resist the urge to do that.

Why are you convinced the photo must be bad out of curiosity? Did you ever face bullying, or a excessive/a lot of criticism growing up by anyone?

Really hope you (and me) feel better sometime. Anxiety is horrible, and the grip it can and does claim on your life. I feel for you x

Since you know what the problem is, you should also know what the solution is. You can control what you think. You can choose to stop over thinking by putting your thoughts on something constructive -- creating something.

Hi Zoleee, the systematic memorization of Bible verses and passages is what helped me get rid of my bad/stupid thoughts that were constantly plaguing me during my early years as a Christian. Basically, you replace the bad (thoughts) in your brain with good ones by filling your mind the word of God :) It's hard work, at first, but I can guarantee you it will be worth the effort

If you are interested, PM me and I'll tell you how to get started.

God bless you (Numbers 6:24-26)!
