No, this is what i know myself. If you think, that i as a young men in my 20th feel anything for something that happened 240 million years ago, i must disappoint you. Even more so considering the fact that my parents are from eastern germany and got nothing. So spare me that nonsense.

I care for me, my sucess and my nation. What happenes to you, your people and your nation is totally irrelevant for me.

I´m a freement. Don´t even try to put chains on my feet.

Spoken as a true Millennial. My friends in Germany resent still having to pay the Reunification Tax all these years. It's not their fault E. Germany ended up in the hands of the communists and economically destroyed the country. To this day, the area in Eastern Germany is still poorer with higher unemployment and out-of-wedlock births. Doesn't look to me like Socialist redistribution of wealth worked all that well.

I love how people pretend like America wasn't crying out for war after the 9/11 attack, and then backtrack talking about how unnecessary it was.

Just blame Bush for answering that call, there you go. Forget the scale of death and destruction happened that day- 5,730 victims and 13 billion in devastation. If they had hit China or Russia, they would have seized the Middle East, so I don't know where all this drivel comes from other then errant self-righteousness.

The Chechen terrorists did hit Russia. Russia handled the matter quite effectively. I see no reason why it would not work in Syria as well.

None of the scientists faced prison or death. Wernher von Brauns colleagues for example build up the russian space program and german scientsist allowed Stalin to have the nuclear bomb. Something i´m proud for. Only germany was able to build a nuclear bomb by 1945 and counter US agression. That german scientists allowed russia to counter american imperialism with the providing the sovietunion the bomb as well. That saved world peace.

It was the US that built the first atomic bomb. Germany lost the war; really, it was in all the papers.

Well it depends if we (and i mean both our nations) are willing to betray what we stand for and make a real war against them

No one wants to do anything of substance against Isis, and it shows.

We play drop a bomb, and pretend we are working with 'moderates' (whatever that means especially in Syria, etc) - and the Germany and others stand back and watches. Everyone claims they have no appetite for what needs to be done, and we are all capable of it. So, everyone basically does nothing.

Its going to take more than guns, troops, bombs, etc to win this. To many have been brainwashed to believe they will conquer the world, and dying for that cause is an honor to them and their family. They don't value life they way many do, and that's hard to fight against. If you don't deal with the mindset? You can forget about it.

I don't know what "history" you have been taught, but the US built the first bombs, not germany. Russia developed their own in 1949. US was not the aggressor, we were attacked on one front, and our allies assaulted on another by a government conspiring with our neighbors to attack us.

As we walk down history lane. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan did not destabilize the middle east....they ended and ended successfully. We were then also engaged in a war against Terrorism...which is a bad war just like the War against Drugs and even more so..the War against Poverty....ideological wars are time consuming, expensive, and rarely are they ever successful.

What did destabilize the middle east was a weak follow up to the war. Partly Bush's fault, definitely Washington's fault. This in itself did not cause a destabilization but it did not build a strong foundation for the region to be able to support itself when we did eventually pull back. This weak foundation being in place when Obama decided it was time to vacate the premises is what caused the vacuum of power in the region and when ISIS pushed, the foundation crumbled.

America (the government) has not taken the blame for the destabilization in the region because 1) Obama is a weakling and admitting a mistake would tarnish his sterling legacy he is trying to build. 2) the media is by and large still enthralled with Obama and supports the idea that he can make no mistakes.

others have commented on the neighbors such as Saudi...and they are absolutely right...ISIS can only ultimately be defeated if Muslims stand up and denounce this sort of action and take action against it themselves. If Saudi does not stand for this sort of activity, not only the government, but the people, then the crazies will go away from Saudi...if Qatar puts an end to it...it will leave...etc...etc...etc.

lol i guess thats what they teach younat your schools. The high eneiched uranium used in the hiroshima bomb came from germany. The hiroshima bombs design was fundamentally different to the one USA developed and tested. Germany most likely did a first nuclear bomb test in 1944. And its a known fact that german scientist Ardenne helped the soviets to get the bomb and allow stability in the world.

Funny how a nation that lost a war is now ruling entire europe and dominates in evry aspect while you...well you know what your nation looks like now.

Can I suggest another possibility? Leaders from the USA, Germany, etc. are all on board with merging autonomous nations to form larger blocks, and erasing borders. The USA government could have done something about immigration a long time ago if they wanted to. However, they want de facto erasure of borders, with the goal of a North American Union down the road. We see it in their immigration policy, in their trade agreements, etc. The move is towards less nationalism, and more support of international cooperation, and eventual world government.

So when the leaders of the US, on both sides of the aisle, seem to be in favor of destabalizing the middle east through fostering fighting, giving money to various questionable groups, and then the countries in Europe throw open the borders to take in the stream of folks fleeing the mess, it may not be that it is the USA vs. Europe.

It may be that leaders in Europe and the USA are getting what they actually want--less emphasis on borders, more emphasis on cooperation in the face of global crisis, more leeway to impose unusual measures to deal with the crisis--and eventually more unification into larger blocks, erasing autonomy for nations.

The recent call for a European Army to deal with threats such as Putin is another example of a big crisis answered by more calls for unification. The Trans-Pacific partnership that the US just fast tracked is also part of the overall process of moving away from soveriegn nations and moving towards bigger blocks. Some would say dominated by corporate interests as much as national interests.

The issue may not be which country is worst, but are the leaders really looking out for their country, or for a larger plan?

And yes, you could call it as conspiracy theory. But moving toward a world government is not really even a conspiracy. It has been going on for some time.

This again? You were defeated; you were occupied. You were kept from starvation through the Marshall Plan (you're welcome). Half of your country was a communist dictatorship. Now you are about to become overrun again.

Good luck.

Germany did not test a nuke before the US. The swedes and Allies sabotaged their efforts to even create a bomb.

We used plutonium, not uranium, which came from our own sites in the US, Canada, and the Congo.

Yes a large amount of scientists were lost to the US and Russia, both from desertion from Germany and through capture.
