Monday, October 12, 2015, 6:00 a.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song “For Our Nation.” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Isaiah 52:1-12 (NASB).

Wake Up! (vv. 1-2)

Awake, awake,
Clothe yourself in your strength, O Zion;
Clothe yourself in your beautiful garments,
O Jerusalem, the holy city;
For the uncircumcised and the unclean
Will no longer come into you.
Shake yourself from the dust, rise up,
O captive Jerusalem;
Loose yourself from the chains around your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion.

Zion is another name for the church, the body of Christ. Much of today’s church, at least here in America, is under a spiritual stupor. A large majority of the church in the west has adopted the ways of this sinful world, has invited the world into the gatherings of the church, and has thus patterned the way they do church around attracting the world to their meetings. Instead of confronting sin in sinful human beings, and calling people to repentance, the church largely entertains sinners and markets the church to them using worldly means and methods, involving gimmickry, manipulation, and large stage productions. Thus, the gospel message has been diluted to make it more attractive and acceptable to the world so that it no longer calls for death to sin and living to righteousness.

The church has largely become apathetic with regard to forsaking sin and walking in holiness. The feel-good messages coming from many pulpits today only help reinforce this lukewarm approach to faith in Jesus Christ. So much revolves around entertaining and being entertained and making everyone laugh. The church leadership makes a point to teach the people that they should not want to do anything to offend anyone, so they are encouraged to “stay in their own lane,” i.e. to not talk with anyone about sin or the need to repent, but to just “love on” everyone by being accepting and tolerant of all walks of life, no matter how sinful. They even teach people that God requires nothing of them at all in the way of repentance, obedience or surrender to God’s will, so those who accept this message believe sin no longer matters to God, and that they can continue in sin and still have heaven.

So, God is calling out to his church to wake up from her spiritual stupor, and to forsake her sins of apathy, spiritual adultery and idolatry, and to clothe herself with the Lord Jesus and with his righteousness. He is urging her to free herself from the chains of apathy, spiritual laziness, and the veil of deception which has blinded her eyes from seeing the truth about the gospel, and the truth concerning what God does require of his children.

Sold for Nothing (vv. 3-6)

For thus says the Lord, “You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed without money.” For thus says the Lord God, “My people went down at the first into Egypt to reside there; then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause. Now therefore, what do I have here,” declares the Lord, “seeing that My people have been taken away without cause?” Again the Lord declares, “Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually blasphemed all day long. Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking, ‘Here I am.’”

The church in America has sold itself into slavery via the 501c3 not-for-profit incorporation status for tax purposes. By doing so, she has willingly placed the US government (our Egypt) as head over the church in place of Christ. As well, she has promoted government worship via the pledge of allegiance (fidelity, faithfulness) to the flag of the US and to its republic (form of government), via the singing of patriotic songs, via the honoring of our military as heroes for what they have done in invading other nations, and via the promoting of what the government and the government-controlled media spews out each day as though it is fact and not a bunch of lies intended to deceive the people, thus getting the people of the church to accept those lies and thus to be under a veil of deception.

Now we are under an Assyrian (New World Order) invasion, as is much of the rest of the world. The US government has been leading the charge in this invasion, both in other nations, particularly in the Middle East, and now in America, too. They have deceived the minds of most Americans, including most Christians, via the media, which is government controlled. Yet, the US/New World Order follows a modus operandi which gives them away. If we are prayerfully paying attention, and we are listening to the Lord instead of to the Mainstream Media, we can see it. This modus operandi is global, it is habitual, continuous, has a familiar ring or tone to it, is predictable, and it continues to give off the same messages over and over again.

The US government, in concert with the New World Order, within various nations, oftentimes plays (acts out) both sides of a conflict which they have first orchestrated, created or instigated. In other words they will play both the establishment and the opposition to the establishment, and for the purpose to create political, economic and/or social upheaval and difficulties which have lasting effects on the people of those nations. In such uprisings or mass killings, et al, these can be completely staged events or else they can be partially true and partially staged. Sometimes they will act as though they are in opposition with someone, but the two sides are really two parts of the same whole. At other times they reverse the roles, acting as though the other party is the aggressor and that they are the victims, when it is truly the other way around, or they will do bad things and then blame what they have done on someone else, and many people believe their lies.

As well, the US/New World Order likes to misrepresent who the perpetrators are and who the targets are so that they present themselves as the “good guys” coming in to the rescue, to help the people, and/or to protect the innocent, when they are not the good guys coming to the rescue, but they are the aggressors coming in to take over, to kill and to destroy. In other words, we (the US/N.W.O.) are the occupiers and the insurgents in many nations in the Middle East and even in our own nation. We recruit, train, equip and finance terrorist groups to do our dirty work for us, such as ISIS, i.e. they are like the privatized military of the New World Order, kind of like Hitler’s SS. The true opposing forces to the N.W.O.’s takeover of nations, and of the church, are those who stand on their independence, who will not bow to the “beast,” and/or who stand strong in their faith in Jesus Christ and the true gospel of salvation. These opposing forces stand in the way of the progress of the N.W.O.’s takeover of the world, and so they must suffer defeat.

So, the New World Order is redefining boundaries, both physical boundaries and spiritual boundaries. On a spiritual level, they are coming against the church by trying to make Christians out to be ignorant, unloving, hateful, bigoted, and intolerant, and those who tolerate and are accepting of all religions and all walks of life as those who have the love of God within them. They are forcefully advancing their beliefs that we, as the people of the world, should all come together as one, and that we should put aside all differences, i.e. the things which divide us, which includes the gospel of our salvation and those who bring the Good News of the gospel to the people of the world. They want to turn the church into a civic center where people of all religions (even atheists) can come together for the “common good.” They will no longer tolerate those who hold to their independence, or who hold to a faith which proclaims faith in Jesus is the one and only way to God and to heaven, and/or which proclaims that we must die to sin and live with Christ to righteousness to be saved.

I believe God is presently judging the people of this earth, and that he is judging his adulterous church via this New World Order, in order that we might know and acknowledge him for who he is, and that his adulterous church might forsake her sins, flee idolatry, and turn to follow her Lord in pure devotion and in obedience to Christ’s commands and in surrender to God’s will for our lives. In this way, i.e. through judgment, God is delivering his people out of this bondage to these chains of deceit and out of their spiritual stupor.

Who Bring Good News (quoting v. 7, summarizing vv. 8-12)

How lovely on the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

The Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ is not merely that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, that he was resurrected from the dead, that he ascended into heaven, that he sent his Holy Spirit to indwell his followers, and that one day he is coming again. It is not merely that through faith in Jesus Christ we can be forgiven of our sins, escape eternal punishment in the fires of hell, and have the hope of heaven when we die. Jesus died that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. He died that we might no longer live for ourselves but for him who gave himself up for us. He died that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us who walk not according to the flesh, but who persist in conducting our lives according to the Spirit, for if we walk according to the flesh, we will die, but if by the Spirit we put to death the deeds of the flesh, we will live. In other words, the Good News is that Jesus died to set us free from SLAVERY to sin so that we can become servants of his righteousness. Amen!

[See: Luke 9:23-25; John 6:35-66; 10:27-30; Ac. 26:16-18; Ro. 6:1-23; 8:1-14; 2 Co. 5:15; Gal. 2:20; Eph. 2:8-10; 4:17-24; Tit. 2:11-14; 1 Pet. 2:24-25; & 1 Jn. 1:5-9].

The Lord is calling out to his church right now to depart from what is unclean, i.e. to come out from this sinful world and to be separate (unlike; different) from the world of sin so that we can be transformed into the likeness of Christ. Yet, we don’t do this in our own flesh, but only in the power and working of the Holy Spirit of God within us, as we yield to his work of grace and transformation in our lives. He will give us all we need to resist Satan, to flee temptation, to draw near to God, and to live godly, upright and self-controlled lives while we wait for his soon return (See: Tit. 2:11-14). I believe scripture teaches that through judgment in these last days that God will revive his church, and that a remnant of those who have been rebellious and adulterous will return to their Lord and he will renew and restore them to fellowship with him. I also believe that many will be saved during this time. But, right now, he is calling to his church, and he is saying “Repent, and return to Me.”

For Our Nation / An Original Work / September 11, 2012

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.

Men deceiving: we’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.
