I'm not a big 'end times' kind of person, but read the passage below...it speaks about a ''blood moon.'' Just like the one that recently happened.

That's seems awfully coincidental. What do you think?

Peter Addresses the Crowd
14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!

“‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord... will be saved.

Now the 'last days' can mean many things, but curious as to your thoughts.

My thoughts are that I don't pay much attention to current events. I believe that the next event on God's calendar is the Rapture, and there won't be any signs preceding it. The recent blood moon is as coincidental as the next one that will happen in 2033.

God's signs are clearly seen by anyone who looks, and are according to his word ... and will be ignored by the vast majority who don't observe these things.
It is true that you don't need to see all the signs to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, they are there to help those who havn't found him.
If people ask about what's happening in the World you can point to prophesy to show there is a God who foreknew these things, and the way of escape.

I have looked into the moon, my findings on the eclipses are in the middle section here

I don't really pay too much attention either, but it just struck me as interesting. How can we really know for sure? Maybe that is part of the beauty of faith.

This recent blood moon should remind us of what Christ HAS done , it's not a prophetic future event but a reminder of one from the past. In biblical and Hebraic thought the moon "turning to blood" and stars falling from heaven is a symbolic depiction of the changing of heavenly powers, governments, authority, changing of princes and rulers etc..

When Christ ascended to the right hand of God and then began to reign and eventually destroyed and conquered his enemies and over threw the devil and the evil princes of apostate Judaism in 70 ad,, The heavenly powers and authorities were changed drastically,, This is what Christ has done and the blood moon picture is just a symbol of the true spiritual event of Christ conquering his enemies and taking power.

All future and physical/visible blood moons are not prophetic events but should remind us of Christ's rule from heaven and what he accomplished

I don't think it is a coincidence that all of these moons fell on Jewish holidays. To me, it's a general warning about the end approaching, and it is specifically warning that Israel could be about to go through a grievous trial. I find the fact that Russia started conducting airstrikes in Syria right after this happened to be significant. However, I wouldn't go all in on any interpretation of a sign. We already know from the signs of the times that we are living in the last days, and we should focus on living for the Lord and working for the Kingdom rather than interpreting signs.

What coincidence?

That the moon was red over North America? That happens all over the world all the time.

You can never know "for sure". That said, how many blood moons have their been since Jesus' time? None of them were heralds of an imminent apocalypse, I don't see any reason to think this one is any more likely to be.

Is there any value in people saying what they don't see, especially when someone else has made what they have seen available on the thread.
Surely the least they could do is comment on what someone else has found?

Would these people have seen what the wise men saw were they alive then?
Do they know what Jesus means by signs in the heavens?
What do they understand by Peter & Joel's prophecy concerning the sun being darkened and the moon turned to blood?

Are they prophetic people?

Is the blood moon a recurring event?
Yes, eclipses recur

Is there any specific Biblical ties to all of the previous "blood moons" historically?
No, but previous tetrads of them on feast days certainly coincided with important events (see my first post for details) and this set had an additional 2 solar eclipses also on feast days, which has never occurred before in history (afaik)

Since Jewish holidays have always been based on the cycles of the moon it is not a coincidence at all.

When you factor in the calamitous events in Jewish history whenever these occur, I don't think it is a coincidence. Even if it is, it is evident to me that the times we are living in speak an urgent message to the church. That message I think is in Matthew 25:1-13

Brother, the parable of the ten virgins is indeed a picture of what is about to happen to God's church, presently made up of both wheat and tares, growing together. All sleep. But praise God, we are about to be awakened and His true sheep will willingly light their lamps, and BE light rather than try to achieve it. The key is..... are we willing to lose self in the process?

If in our walks we have 'resisted unto blood, striving against sin' in our lives, and find to our dismay we are still bound, and are not free indeed.... if our hearts cry out like Paul's did in Romans 7 as a wretched man in his own eyes, despising his old life, hating that he could not truly obey his Lord, then pur soon future....leaving the selfish old nature behind.... will be a relief, not something to be feared.

But if we have gotten comfortable in our "frailties", reasoning that since Jesus paid the full price for our many sins, why sweat it because no one is perfect anyway? If we attempt to get God to wink at our sins, but burn others in eternity for theirs? I will say it now. Such a mindset will lead to spiritual ruin unless we repent and long to 'awake to righteousness and sin not'. If we do not know how to escape Romans 7? Tell God. And seek Him for the answer, for there is one.

It is not our victory over sin or lack of it that will separate us into two camps. It will be our desire to please our Lord, no matter what it may cost us, or our contentment without godliness, clutching our forgiveness bus pass to heaven but giving not a whit about glorifying Him with our lives on the earth.

The separation is about to occur. Light will be separated from darkness. No more fifty shades of grey. It is called the valley of decision. It is where everything that can be shaken will be. Do not fear, child of God. It is about to get really good.

Blessings,

Gideon
.
