Which apps do you use on your phone and tablet?
None. i have a plain old 'stupid' phone and still use a desktop computer. Trying to keep life as uncomplicated as possible. i don't own a television either.

Not really. First off, that fellow has hair. Mine started falling out when i was about...19 years old. Second off, i wasn't into computers at that time. My first and only real computer class was in High School and we were using the DEC PDP-8E. Yes, the dummy terminal to the right side in the photo that i linked was the keyboard Input/Output. We had no CRT monitors. Everything was typed out on paper. We actually used punch card readers to enter programmes. i do recall the reel-to-reel tape used for storage. While the unit did have hard drives, they were very limited and too precious to use for things such as permanent storage of programmes.

i have a pay-as-you-go stupid phone that allows me to text. That is about all i can do with it.

It is all i really need.

i have nothing against technology mind you, but if one can manage adequately without it, why bother? My Present computer is a 10 year old HP Pavilion that i've managed to extend usability on by installing Linux. No Microsoft planned obsolescence for me! It is also nice to not have to maintain anti-virus and anti-malware software...next "In the wild" virus that works on a Linux system will be the first.

That guy can't be a computer technician! He doesn't have a white lab coat on! He's probably a hacker, trying to install some bad code... ;)

Maybe not, seeing as how this was probably still the standard computer bug. Admiral Grace Hopper gave us a lot of terms that are still used today...like 'debugging', not to mention COBOL and the first compiler.

I'm with you Dark Lord. My family has trying been trying to convince me for years to upgrade from my pay as you go txt in plan to something with calling and data. A couple of weeks ago I went to the sleep clinic and on the way found my usual route barred by construction. I ended up taking a completely different route, a much longer route, and if I showed any latter for the appointment they were going to charge me $350 bucks. I decided I should get a share plan with my wife in case something like that happens again.

Right now I'm using Tecarta KJV, the Reformed Creeds and Confessions, 1689 Baptist Confession from Puritan Soft, Daily Prayer (Book of Common Prayer) and podcast addict so I can listen to Mohler on the briefing.

What is Wunderlist?
A to-do list app. As David Allen said, the mind is a thinking tool, not a storage device. I also like to use Wunderlist to list the books I want to read and to make notes during meetings.

I've got one of those older phones that fold in half. It claims to have its own kind of "app," but I haven't looked into it. I can't imagine trying to browse the web with that thing, even if it can, in theory. Phones are for calling, for me, and the desktop computer is the most comfortable way to compute. If I need a portable, then I bring a netbook. I dislike tablets. I don't like typing on the screen, or not being able to wipe the screen clean when I notice a smudge (probably from finger grease). I also dislike the word, "app," and I'm not sure why.

i can't address phone apps, but my Linux distribution has a bible software called Bible Time. It is also available for Windows. It is much like E-Sword, or contemporary applications, and is very customisable. i often use the 1599 Geneva along side the ESV and the Critical Text along side the TR (The TR is closest available to the text behind the Geneva. i believe that 1599 Geneva used an earlier edition of Beza's text whilst the TR came into existence after the 1611 KJV).

There are actually quite a few options available.

i have contemplated going with a bare bones phone plan. As i plan on getting married shortly, i may go with a share plan. However i'm not certain that will be possible as the future Mrs. Dark Lord will have a different area code than i.

I have e-sword and you version bible apps on my phone. Also my hearing aids are connected to my I-phone so that I can actually hear my you version being read through my hearing aids, along with hearing calls and audiobooks through them. I also have an app that gives me yardages on any golf course I am playing. I can also do my banking through it.
