Reading this reminds me of the charlatan from Texas that went around before 2000 to Churches all over the south hawking his "Christian" disaster preparedness plan - and supplies at "special" discount for the coming Y2K disaster. He started in 1997 I think and by the end of 1998 he was able to quit his regular job and do that full time. He was in IT so he knew full well the scare story he told in those Churches was false and that absolutely nothing was going to happen. Actually wrote him a letter to shame him in 1999 when I was in IT. He had gone thru South Caroline and scared my Aunt's Church, and she then scared my mom who I then had to re-assure. The guy's wife was able to quit her job too before 2000. About 10 years or so later my Aunt's basement flooded because the 20k water tanks they had installed ruptured and we still have one of the buckets of whole grain she ended up giving to my parents.

Interesting video. Personally I think the candlestick thing makes him look like he is grasping at straws or something. I didn't really get that part. Then even he admits that our calendar could be off by a few years? Wouldn't that then change his formula there?

I remember when the Blood Moon thing first came out about 7 years ago and everyone thought the rapture could potentially happen then and by now with these upcoming Blood Moons we would be in the Tribulation. Obviously it didn't happen that way because we are all still here and I don't have much faith that anything is going to happen this time either.

For me, second coming is my vacation. Company I work for just took out vacation privileges of all expats. Definitely not renewing my contract next year. Sigh, when will I get an employer which does not abuse or exploits us expats?! Definitely looking forward to 2nd coming because I need a vacation!

Oh no..b-b-but what about my wedding in April 2016 whaaaa sob sob..I miss that and be in heaven or hell.

Who was the pastor that was well known for end time dates. Buying billboards, all sorts of ad space warning of a particular date. Once in May and the other rapture in October. I think it was back in 2011? The October rapture was supposedly to catch up those the May one missed?
He's dead now but he did this once in the mid 20th century and once in the new century.

What's it matter? Why would we bother to guess the date? Are we worried? No man shall know the day or time. But if we're certain we're going what's to fear?
Just think of savings? And the left behind will have their choice of cars! Rapture humor, arr arr!

The Bible itself has mixed views on the subject.

But if we take the most persisting context, NOT the most popular interpretation of the rapture....

It will be the evil who will be raptured away while the few good people will be left here on Earth with all the free cars, and planes and trucks, and spare parts...

- First off, "Rapture" is not a good word, it is a negative, word, it is an alternative word for "abducted" or "kidnapped".
- The meek shall inherit the Earth
- The wicked toils but someone else will inherit them (free cars, planes, trucks, houses... for those good left behind)

And lastly, the most important one:

- The "Little ones" will inherit the Kingdom - having that little kid inside of you will come in handy with all those free cars, planes, houses, jet engines, rocket engines, and grocery carts lying around!

There's a conspiracy theory forum just for this sort of stuff.

I can't recall a scripture that says it is the wicked or the un-redeemed in Christ that are taken. Do you know which scripture that is?

37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

As in the days of Noah, the wicked were ALL TAKEN AWAY by the floodwaters, while Noah and his family were Left Behind to re populate earth., so shall it be in the coming of the son of man... One will be TAKEN (Wicked) and the other LEFT (Righteous).

This is going to be quite familiar to you, ironically, it's message has been badly misinterpreted over and over.

Matthew 24:38-40

For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.

Who will be taken away? Will it be worldly or the Godly?


Where is the Kingdom of God?

Luke 17:20-21
"The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; 21nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or, 'There it is!' For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst

The Kingdom of God is already this Earth, this galaxy or this Universe perhaps. Of course everyone is busy pondering it's somewhere else.

More accurately, the Kingdom of God is the original pristine condition of this Earth or galaxy or the Universe of all creations before "the fall" overtook it. This is before the animals turned to carnivorism, etc, etc.

It is also called the Garden of Eden where two angels guarded its entrance with a sword that turned in all directions. This is the "sword of time" or simply "time". It belongs to both the past and the future.


Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

This seals the fate of the children of God, they are not going anywhere but will remain here on Earth. However, in the process of the restoration of the Earth, of the whole Universe, the corrupt elements will no longer be.

1 Corinthians 15:50-53
50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54

Describes one great event of the "restoration" but this has nothing to do with the rapture of the Godly.


1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

This is one scripture Christian rapture believers hold on to. But if you notice this scripture contradicts Matthew 24:38-40 I posted above. In Matthew 24, we know the evil are taken, But here in 1 Thessalonians 4 the Godly instead fly away like a rocket.

Not only it contradicts Matthew 24, it does not fit into context with the other verses I posted here. I am reading about Thessalonians in wiki and not surprisingly, it was stated that a number of scholars, including notable ones doubted its authenticity due to incompatibility with the other of Paul's epistles, hence, not only myself but other scholars noticed a problem with 1 Thessalonians.



I'm not trying to debunk the rapture. I still think it will happen but only instead of being the good ones being taken, I think it will be the evil ones who will be rapture off the Earth and even possible the whole Universe.

The Earth and Outer Space is a already a quite extraordinary place to begin with. It just doesn't look too well with all our filth, and wars and mayhem and blood lust and greed thrown in. Take away (rapture) all the corrupt in the Universe and what's left is paradise.
