Whew! I read every post in this safe house. Very interesting.
.
The better ones were deleted. Har har.... (_8(I)<

It is going to be a very interesting Presidential election. I remember before the last election, me and another conservative kept telling another co-worker that there isn't any chance that Obama is going to get re-elected because of his record and policies that are destroying the country. This co-worker I will call George says that the liberals are clueless and will vote for him again and that there is no way he is going to lose. I was convinced that people wanted a change for I thought the better. Was I so wrong.

I am feeling more confident for this next election. I really hope that it isn't false confidence as before. This country can't afford another 8 years of destroying the country

I like the new layout. I wish though there was a quote button.
Use Reply in the bottom right of the post. Not certain what Quote is supposed to do. It does not "quote" each post, that you added to some list by using it, when you hit Reply!!! may be missing something, but I have not seen how Quote makes a Multi-Quote Message.

When composing a post, the quote button allows you to add text from additional posts. It's a two-step process though. After clicking the "quote" button, an additional button, something like "add quotes" appears below the post you're composing. Click that new button when you're ready to insert the quote(s) into your post.

It's more difficult to explain than to do. :sorry:

Safe, but forum rules still apply. You cannot say a certain group of people are stupid (specifically to include people here,) and you cannot talk about certain things, but you should be able to have a more relaxed conversation. Just consult these forum rules to make sure you understand.

BTW, be prepared, because, on CF Forums, you will be mocked and disparaged regularly, and usually without recourse! You need to have a thick skin around here. Remember it is possible to have the wrong idea of what some says typing. Worded incorrectly, a supportive comment may seem to be a slap. Just be sure there are people here, us conservatives, that understand, make some good friends (shouldn't be too hard for you to do,) and certainly, have some fun.

I do not think bias is always bad. People use it for an excuse to do bad things, but having an opinion before hearing certain matters is not in itself all that bad.

I know that we have rescued a significant number of animals, and gave life-long homes to them, or found life-long homes for them. Most any shelter will necessarily have to kill animals, refuse to take more, or simply shutdown for lack of an ability to expand.

However, once we find an animal we can save, we do not shirk responsibility till we have someone else to accept that responsibility. Rewarding, but it can get expensive. Comical and, sometimes, amazing stories to tell...

Just saw one website you suggested, and I am not surprised for the reasons mentioned above. It is sad though! One sweet little kitten (less than a year old) showed up very hungry around our house. We know it had been dumped, because of how it jumped into our laps any time we sat down. (these are all outdoor animals.) Our "stray cat" rescues do not do that! It was expensive, but, when we could not find a home for her, we had her spayed, and we treat her as one of our own!

As I said, I am not surprised they are cruel. I do not make the mistake of considering these people to be kind to animals. It does not make sense to think 90%+ of the animals that come to these people are sick! It is a horrendous notion to say the least. I'll look more at these sources, and we may start a thread here about it!!!

Haven't posted actively in forever but I see a few friendly names.

Looks like we got some fiery Republican candidates this year. I am more hopeful this year than in other years and am even considering registering to vote. :)
Let me be among the first to encourage you do so, especially if your state has a primary.
