Are you wanting to scientifically determine them? Just because the universe is "here" how it came to be is an important question and how Christianity explains it can be tested Scientifically where others are not scientifically sound at all.

AV, I rarely ever discuss the differing views between Christians. I respect your view because I totally agree that Genesis is literal and so do you. We may see it differently as to how that fact plays out. It won't matter in awhile anyway, we'll be with the Lord and we can give each other a great big hug and know we were both right.

We have dated multiple meteorites, and they all produce the same age within analytical error. What are the chances that there is a wide spread of ages for meteorites, and we just got meteorites with the same age by accident? Pretty slim. Therefore, the fact that meteorites are all of the same age means something. What it means is that they mark an event, and that event is the transition from a hot solar system with liquid rock to one with solid rock that starts clumping together. We call that planet formation.

If there were multiple origins of life then we would not expect all life to share such things as codon usage, or even the same genetic molecules.

Since life first appeared on earth it has continuously evolved, which is quite evident in the fossil record. Have there been extinction events, yes; 5 major events and 20 lesser events, but none have destroyed all life.

I am asking you if life could have began on earth and all the evidence was lost prior to the life we first see in fossil evidence on earth?
