I wasn't talking about France I was talking about the USA, where the people making the argument are from

I'm not sure if that makes it any more credible a claim, but I'm happy enough for the clarification since the thread is about legislation in France.

I will also be interested to know how Obama, Clinton, the Bushes, and their administrations qualify as libertarians or even devotees of Ayn Rand. Was that just a handy insult chosen at random, perhaps?

Sorry if I'm covering old ground. I work as a bagger at a grocery and we do waste a lot of edible food that just has damaged packages.

I'm guessing though companies don't want the legal risk of being sued if the homeless got food sickness because something expired got mixed in.
