I have started a new Clan. Our name is Clan Raging Falcon. It was going to be Clan Silver Talon, but I changed the name to include an animal like most clan names are. Since you are the first to join, you may be my first Galaxy Commander.
The thread we are in is the OOC/recruiting place for the BattleTech RPG.

The general members of the clan will get to choose from a list that their commander provides. I will provide the list to the commander. As for high ranking people, those who are the first to come, like you and I, we can use whatever we want. Within reason, of course. I, personally will be either using a Mauler, Mad Cat III, or some other Clan variant.

Very well. You may all join. Look at one of my above posts for the link to the actual RPG thread. As Khan of Clan Raging Falcon, I am making my first appointments to ranks. Later, though, we will fight trials for them. Loner987, I am appointing you as Father Niko's first Star Colonel. Father Niko is a Galaxy Commander of Alpha Galaxy. Maul, you are a Galaxy Commander of Beta Galaxy and Raptureman is your first Star Colonel. We are just getting this organized, so it may be a few days before our first RPG. I would like you all to post links to your BattleTech character, or PM them to me so that I can place it in my database.

Thanks. I also need you to put your call sign (For your 'Mech, aerospace fighter, or mobile armor) in your profile. Callsigns will be used in battle for, well, callsigns. Just so you all know, my call sign is Phantom.

Due to the relatively small amount of people in this RPG, during the battles, unless single combat is called for, stars shall remain as NPCs under their individual leaders. I will soon post what each person commands, but for now, let me say this:
In keeping with the natural Clan spirit of competition between galaxies, etc., from now on, if you recruit someone to this RPG, I will place them in your command structure. Thus, you can help your galaxy grow. I am planning frequent skirmishes between galaxies, so your expansion is important, for even though stars are NPCs, the more people you have, the greater your power. I will explain more about skirmishes when the time comes.
In addition, I will be posting lessons on Clan structure, culture, and BT RPGing as time goes on.

Rules of 'Mech Combat:

1. Take damage. No one is invincible.
2. Fight realistically. No impossible moves or upgrades.
3. Know the limitations of your 'Mech. Heat, ammo, and armor all have limitations. If you do not know them, someone else will, so ask.
4. Fight with honor. There is no honor in shredding your opponent's cockpit from two meters with an autocannon.
5. Fight clean. Watch your language and act as a Clanner, not a mercenary.

Star:5 BattleMechs or Aerospace Fighters or 25 armored infantry
Binary:2 Stars (10 BattleMechs or Aerospace Fighters or 50 armored infantry)
Trinary:3 Stars (15 BattleMechs or Aerospace Fighters or 75 armored infantry)
Cluster:4-5 Binaries/Trinaries
Galaxy:3-5 Clusters
Nova:1 BattleMech or Aerospace Fighter Star and 1 armored infantry Star Supernova:1 BattleMech or Aerospace Fighter Binary and 2 armored infantry Stars
