This is in reference to those that earn there wages in MMA or in the professional boxing or other paid Fighting profession.

Myself Ive never been a paid professional boxer or MMA fighter tho these days we see persons competing in this profession.

Do we after accepting Christ change the things we do?

I carefully look at how I walk and work in the community to be more Christ like to give an answer to those that may ask me about my walk.

Of course going out and preaching the gospel with others is the most important issue even if I lose work over preaching the Gospel.

Verses like I can do all things in Christ Jesus but not all things build up. are verses that some use to justify doing things through grace.

Ephesians 4:31-32 American Standard Version (ASV)

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:

32 and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.

Humby, yes.

And I'd try to knock the teeth out of my opponent's mouth.

(My first boxing instructor came from a boxing family. He learned from his father who ran a gym. His father was a Protestant pastor--who according to my instructor--kept a pile of inappropriate content magazines under his bed. And when my instructor decided to become a professional boxer his father's first comment was, "Well... you might as well take your teeth out now." My instructor was quite proud of the fact he never lost a tooth in his mouth.)

Jesus fashioned a whip and took it to the moneychangers in the temple due to their betraying God.

How would being a professional boxer interfere with righteousness and faith in Christ?
When Jesus , who was God, is the same throughout eternity that means he is the same God that committed all that is described in the old testament. And had others act in his name against others.

Being a soldier defending this nation is within the parameters of God's will. So too is defending ones self.

I read about a soldier resigning from army for the same reason.
What country was this? You can't do that in the states.

Jesus fashioned a whip and took it to the moneychangers in the temple due to their betraying God.
Not a valid analogy.

How would being a professional boxer interfere with righteousness and faith in Christ?
You don't see how wanting to beat up someone isn't exactly Christ-like? (PS I am not saying that's necessarily how all boxers are, but there are more than a few)

Being a soldier defending this nation is within the parameters of God's will. So too is defending ones self.
Neither which is a valid analogy either. In boxing you aren't simply "defending yourself," you're basically trying to beat up the other guy.

If you're using "punching people in the face for Jesus" as your testimony.. no it doesn't work like that. You are working against His testimony. If you just so happen to be a boxer who is a Christian that is another story. I don't know what goes into the minds of MMA or boxers, but I do not think many take the fights personally, but professionally.. if that makes any sense. I would argue that taking the fight to a personal level is not Christ like.

I used to box and do MMA in college and there is nothing inherently non-Christian about it. It is a sport just like basketball or football is a sport.

My best friend in college was a black belt. We would spare all the time, we fought every day, trying new techniques against each other. It was fun and we had the time of our lives.

About once a week or so one of us would "accidentally" tag the other really good, resulting in a black eye, busted lip, etc. But that was no different than an injury that happens in any physical endeavor. I mean, there are figure skaters and dancers that accidentally put their partners in the hospital due to a mistake.

I know, boxing or MMA can easily be associated with violence. But it is all about intent, and if your intent is pure, then boxing or MMA or wrestling is nothing more than a sport, a physical chess match. And that is no different from various other things.
