Look at this scripture. I guides me to not focus on earthly things of the flesh, that includes death and sickness. What shall separate us from the Love of Christ? THe sword? Environmental pollution? Terrorism? The greed and destruction of the industrialized world who pollutes our planet? Shall the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy separate me from the Love of Christ? Shall the rust which eats my car, or the moths which eat my clothes, or the thief who steals my money, or the man who would kill me, will any of that separate me from Gods love through Christ? Shall we not walk by faith instead of sight? Should we look at this world with all its death, sickness and destruction, or instead should we look to heaven and our eternal Resurrection? Nothing in all creation, not death, nor life, nor anything past present or future can separate us from Him. Not demons, powers, men, pollution, nor height or depth or any CREATED THING WHATSOEVEr.... nothing can separate us from Gods love through Christ. Is paul promising no more sickness or death? No, hes promising hope in Christ will reap the fruit of eternal life in heaven.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”[c]
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Some of your verses are way out of context.
and one youve quoted contradicts the point your trying to make.

we are to be more then conquerors!

and the thief comes to kill steal destroy..
The LordJESUS came to destroy the enemies work.

Do you believe him who said" to he that believes all things are possible"

I do.

The scripture is not out of context. Paul is telling us that we are more than conquers in death, yet hes not saying we wont die. Hes saying we will be killed be the sword. Hes not promising that victory is deliverance from the sword. The victory is in heaven. We conquer because we have heaven, the grave has no sting yet we will all die regardless.

The Mathew scripture could be seen as out of context but it still shows a truth. Jesus isnt saying that the sparrows will not be cast to the ground, hes saying it doesnt happen outside Gods will. Hes saying that we will die like the sparrows but we are much more valuable then they are. They were bought with two copper coins but we are bought by the blood of Christ. THe scripture is telling us not to fear man, he can kill our body but not our soul. The soul is promised eternal life but the body is not. God never promises that we will be delivered from the sword, the promise is deliverance only from the second death.

In other words, Jesus is saying that we should not worry if we are killed, because nothing happens outside Gods will. This means that he is in control always, do not be alarmed by things in this world. This world means nothing, its heaven we are promised. We worry about our spiritual life not our carnal life. We focus on walking in the spirit not the flesh.

I think my assertions have at least given a reasonable understanding of certain possible reasons as to why people dont get healed. It doesnt seem to contradict anything in scripture if its viewed in the way i intended it to be viewed. However, the same cannot be said about the opposition. Walking by faith not sight means to look at heaven instead of earthly things. It doesnt mean to believe and be healed.

It does not mean that we will not be killed by the sword or a car accident. It doesnt mean we will be delivered by the sickness of environmental pollution either. Its possible that sickness is due to environmental pollution and that is not unlike being killed by other means such as a sharp instrument known as a sword.

You are trying to use death as proof that healing isn't necessary or not completely adequate, I think. I am not entirely sure how death plays into healing to be honest with you. Everyone dies, that is scripture "each person is destined to die once" (Heb 9:27 NLT). But not every person has to suffer sickness or disease. I am getting more convinced that God allows sickness and such in order that his children can display his glory by healing.

Jesus said that he must work the works of the Father and display his glory through healing (John 9).

I am having a harder time understanding how you can say you are not a cessassionist and yet persist in this argument against healing. Honestly and I mean this with no judgement or bitterness, your points of discussion are exactly the same things I heard in church growing up. A cessassionist Baptist church.

Just as the hate and greed which motivates the sword of my enemy can pollute my peaceful environment which ends up killing me, so can the pollution of this world such as chemicals and radiation also kill me. We dont know why people get sick but we do know that God doesn't promise that we will be delivered from death by sword or stoning, or by accident either. Im just trying to understand why its wrong to get sick and die but its not wrong to be killed by my enemies sword or by an accident of some kind. It just doesn't make sense.

Faith never doubts. Never ever never.

Every time...

EVERY TIME we try to minister healing to others we must approach it as a completely separate encounter. God IS going to display his glory by healing this one or that one.

Again, it IS God's will that all are healed. How do I know?

Jesus healed everyone that came to him for healing. Everyone that came to him and Jesus is the exact image of the Father. Everything that the Father is was displayed in Jesus. In fact, one of God's names is Yahweh Rapheka (The LORD who heals). It is his very nature to heal, it is one way he revealed himself to his people.

If you consider my words maybe you will se what im driving at. Did Jesus promise to deliver us from the sword of our enemies? No. Why then did he supposedly promise to deliver us from the death by sickness? Cant sickness be caused by my enemies hand just as he causes my death by a sword? Cannot sickness be a like a sword wound that i may die from? Do you see what im asking? Perhaps my enemy kills not with a sword but instead by nuclear radiation which slowly kills me. Will i be delivered from that but not his sword? Maybe im made sick by other things as well, such as chemicals in the environment which cause disease. Will i be delivered by that but not by the wound inflicted by my enemies sword? THe sword will kill two different ways. It will either cause death by blood loss or by infection. The infection is just like an illness but it will kill me anyway.

Maybe off topic , but if you deny the healing power of the Holy Spirit is this what is considered blasthemeing the Spirit?

Nope. Blasphemy of the Spirit is attributing the casting out of demons by Jesus to the devil. He said that in response to the Pharisees saying that Jesus cast out devils by the prince of devils.

ok, I only glanced few a few post and it seems the mods butchered this as well (with best intentions I"m sure, but it makes it kinda hard to read lol), anyway here is my question.

I'm sick, I have an IBS to a degree where I can not work, or go to school in person. However I'm also what I consider to be faithful, I try to do my best to please God in everything, I'm in school to be a pastor, and I really do love the lord more than anything. I say that to say, I'm in the word, I'm spending lots of time in prayer. I have prayed every prayer I know how to pray, the "prayers of faith" as you would call them, the "be healed" prayers, Ive prayed everything I think is biblical sound, and a few I think arn't, Ive sat and cried my eyes out to god, Ive yelled at god, Ive worshiped god (a lot), all through this trying to keep my eyes on him. Ive almost starved to death(Litterally, like, lost over 120lb in 3 months, 60 in 2 weeks). Ive been through the grinder, and had up and down moments in my faith, but Ive spent over a year, praying almost every single night that god would heal me.

He hasn't.

If its his will, and I'm asking him as his child, who is doing everything in his power to follow him, abstain from sin, and please him. Then why hasn't he healed me? Ive done everything the bible calls for, Ive had people lay hands on me, ive been anointed with oil, I have more people praying for me than I can count, so why, hasn't God healed me, if its ALWAYS his will to heal? I KNOW healing happen, Ive had some in my own family, Ive seen god do cool stuff, Ive had what I belive is a vision, I listen for his voice, Ive had him show me things and I can't describe how he showed it to me other than he did. I say that to say, I KNOW he still works supernaturally in our life, thats not what I'm contending, what I'm asking is this.

If God wants me to be healed, and Ive done everything the bible says to do for the sick, then why hasn't he healed me?

Paul says that in everything he has learned to be content. Contentment in Christ comes first. If you are identifying yourself as a sick person trying to get well, then you will be frustrated. But if you identify yourself as a child of God, a co-heir with Christ, accepted in the beloved, victorious over the devil, this will bring contentment whether you are sick or well. What you are doing is coming to a place of peace with God that whether you remain sick or get well, you are surrendered to His will, plan and purpose for your life.

Only God can heal you. It seems with all your pleading for God to heal you, you are asking for something that He has already provided through the Atonement. Isaiah said, "by His stripes you are healed", Matthew, after observing Jesus healing the sick, quoted Isaiah, "By His stripes we are healed." But Peter changes the quote by saying, "By His stripes you were healed." By putting healing into the past tense he is acknowledging that through the Atonement, healing is more than by faith in a promise, nor is it a future event, but it is a settled fact. Healing has now been provided. We can claim what is ours through the Atonement.

Now having said that, we cannot put God on a timetable nor can we give Him a time limit to do what we want Him to do. He is not a vending machine.

It is always His will to heal. Jesus demonstrated that in that He healed all who came to Him. Of course, we are not going to be as effective as He was, because we are still growing in grace and our minds are still developing to be conformed to that of Christ.

The best you can do is to stop begging and pleading for something He has already provided and to just accept that you were healed through the Atonement, and with faith and patience await the actual results in your body.

So what if you never get healed. Does that make you less of a child of God? Does that defeat you, or are you still more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you?

Now, having said that, I will make a statement.

I cast that spirit of infirmity out of you so that your medical condition is reversed and you totally recover.

I can say that because it is my responsibility to have the faith to declare your healing, and I have enough faith for both of us!
