Professor Tim Noakes has been known to create quite a stir with his ideas, but are his ideas based on real science or he just another person trying to get rich off the sale of his books?

NB: Please don't reply to this question until you've watched this video -- Anyone can Google an answer, but this thread is about this video*:

Are you really asking me to watch 97 minutes of some guy talking about dieting? Geez, I won't even do that for my wife.

Then let her watch it and give you some feedback -- who knows it might even be something you can do together? ;)

I found his website. He's highlighting butter, liver, coconut oil, greasy fish, and eggs? Yeech! In all fairness, though, he also includes pictures of tomatoes, green beans, grilled veggies.

I'll suggest replacing some of our calories with God's original plan of fruits, vegetables, and nuts. It worked for me. Just filling 1/3 of my daily calories with those foods brought my cholesterol and glucose down to normal.

1. Eat foods that are low in simple sugars and fats with plenty of protein.

2. Exercise.

If someone is advertising anything different, they are trying to con you.
