Seriously, which would you rather pick? Be sealed to your spouse for this mortal life alone... where the words "Until death do you part" Hold weight, as in, marriage is over after this life

Or wouldent you much rather be sealed for time and all eternity, to be with your spouse forever, having an eternal family

I have absolutely no idea. It's an interesting question, but I don't think I'm competent to answer it. I'll leave it to God to sort the afterlife out; I have neither the authority nor the information to make any decisions about it.

Well, Christ does say that there is no marriage or such concept in the afterlife:

Matt 22:29-30 Jesus replied, "you are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.  At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven."

Luke 20:34-36 Jesus replied, "The people of this age marry and are given to marriage.  But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels.  They are God's children, since they are children of the resurrection."

If I had my rathers to have a family,  It would be nice to know you have the family waiting on you.

However I know that is not always possible.

Divorce and remarriages and also seperation by death and remarriage.

This day and age not possible unless we are allowed to have more than one husband or wife. :(

In heaven, there is no marriage! Why? Because marriage is a scrament. I is a physical sign of a heavenly reality. It points toward a heavenly reality, the reality of being one with God. In heaven, everyone is one with each other, in a much deeper way than anything we can possibly experience on this earth. There is no marriage in heaven because heaven is the fulfillment of marriage. As we travel down a road, we need signs to get to our destination. Once we have arrived, do we still need signs to point us there? Marriage is a sign that points to heaven. Once we are there, do we need to know how to get there? Shoot for the fulfillment, the ultimate, HEAVEN!

God bless

But a guy only gets his spouse if he gets to heaven first, and calls her into heaven (by her secret name), and gives her the secret handshake, and then you get to be god over your own planet. Anyone see anything wrong with this? Obviously 9,000,000 don't. I wonder if there's a decoder ring too. M

well I think that you will be with you spuse in Heaven too (provided you both make it there) but things will be different there, it won't be like on earth. I don't know what it will be like, but I know it will be wonderfull.
