White light

Is it just me, or do other people notice that when people say they are casting the "White Light of God" around people it is their own personal interpretation of God, rather than God's own light? It says in the Bible that the Devil comes as a Spirit of Light. Why would I want someone to cast some "White Light" around me. I don't need them, I need God. Isn't that Witchcraft or demonic to cast a White Light around someone, as if they had more power than God? Doesn't that usurp God's divine power, if we accept someone's casting of a White Light, over acceptance of the Holy Spirit as a guide?

I think I had a Wiccan try to cast the white light around me and I asked her to please stop because that wouldn't be necessary.

I know some people who try that stuff, and go to psychics, who want me to be their friends, but I refuse. God said stay away from familiar spirits as well.

She said she wanted to invoke the universal white light over me and then went into some yarn and crazed trance like a babbling witch over a pot of stew. I told her I was fine and had enough 'white light' already and that I was perfectly willing to share if she needed some for emergency situations. But thank you.

No, more like, ok do your thing, however special you and your clan think you are woman, and go about your way, and I'll keep in touch and witness how far you make it on Your belief in the powers of your "white light", and we will compare that to how far I make it on My acceptance of the power of the Holy Spirit, and then we will measure fruits. Mine came out more abundant, by far.

yes iv heard psychics and mediums use such terminology=-even cheeky enough to tell people they can see a "Christ light " around them .. tricks the fringe religious folks ..into thinking they are A-OK and dont need to repent etc .. new age garb and outright lies ..

The people I know of that practice this sort of witchcraft all have fibromyalgia, for some reason. :scratch:

Whether it is the lie and conviction by the Holy Spirit, or self doubt, fear of God, lack of faith etc... I am uncertain, but it's true.

i once had a councilor type while praying for me as a teen comment that twitching was a symptom of evil spirits associated with witchcraft(manipulation of the behavior of others for selfish reason)..which i found an odd thing to say .. even more oddly a few months later in counseling an elderly Methodist lady prayed for me ..(short story version) she leaned forward touched my head and said "in the name of Jesus come out of this boy ".. when her hand touched my head i experienced a shock of brilliant light through my eyes and head .. i heard a loud low guttural voice screaming Nooooo ,my body flew up out the the chair and twisted around weirdly then i found myself slumped in my chair wondering what just happened lol .. deliverance is a wonderful thing

-my point ...: from my perspective i can easily see how the outer symptoms of Fibromyalgia "could" be manifestational behavior of evil spirits

also, remember "slain in the spirit" ?

I remember watching a Christian TV channel one time, and I was confused by the way they used the word "anointing", apparently it denoted ... magical powers ?

"anointing" is poured over ...

since this is not a teaching, it is an account of an experience i think im ok to post it .with nothing added.

when i was baptized in the promised Holy Spirit ..that is what it felt like for me .. a vibrant warm oil that felt like it was ignited poured over my raised hands and over my head it flowed down onto me ...

-oh and just so you know .. yeah i reckon "slain in the spirit " is just Christianeese ... its a descriptive term for when some one lays down on the floor(usually on their back) and doesn't move - lets be honest , i'm skeptical of it .but not in ALL cases .

I know the literal meaning of to anoint, I am just saying the way they used it was not in a literal sense, but rather according to a definition defined by themselves.
