"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." -Matthew 7:15-20

In the context of the verse above, I have trouble believing demons can heal others. Isn't healing a de facto good fruit? Or is there more to be said here? I can see the evil one working signs and wonders, but healing of illness seems to be good made manifest.

if someone is sick and goes to a pagan witch and the sickness is healed (and this has happened), and that person becomes a pagan. he might be temporarily healed of an issue, but his soul is more dead than it was before. so maybe this person gets a physical healing, and then is in hell for eternity after the Second Coming. so was he really healed as God knows?

Taken from the book of Hieromonk Anatoly Berestov "Number of the beast":

"The consequences of people being healed by magicians and bioenergetics practitioners are well known to clergymen and doctors from the orthodox faith. If they aren't simply charlatans but real magicians, the ones turning to them can be relieved or even fully healed from their illnesses. However in a few months, less than an year (according to my observations often from 2 to 6 months) the illness returns with a new force, treating it becomes much more complicated, other organs also become affected, significant mental disorders develop, sometimes leading to suicide."

Before the author became a monk, he was a psychiatrist and the leading child-neuropathologist in Moscow (1985-1995) so he knows what he's saying. The translation is mine since I don't have the book in English.
