Here.

A 'dome' is defined as this:

a rounded vault forming the roof of a building or structure, typically with a circular base.

This is a dome.

What the scientists are describing covers the Earth. The Earth is a sphere. So this 'forcefield' is also spherical in shape, or at least completely round. Therefore, it can't be a dome. Calling it that would only make sense if the Earth was flat, which I don't think you believe. If you do, though, my mistake.

Lead researcher Professor Daniel Baker, from the University of Colorado at Boulder, said: "It's almost like these electrons are running into a glass wall in space."

From the article: "two large doughnut-shaped rings"

It's not a dome

No, it isn't completely round. It is doughnut shaped and it is represented
as the bricks in the picture. As usual, you have no idea what you are
saying. Ever hear of a parabola? Derailing this into a debate about what a
dome is, won't make the discovery of the firmament mentioned in Genesis,
go away.

It's still not a dome.

Yes. And that's not a dome. A parabola is two dimensional. A dome is three dimensional.

Derailing this into a debate about what a
dome is, won't make the discovery of the firmament mentioned in Genesis,
go away.

What makes you think this thing they're talking about is the firmament that was described in Genesis?
