Can't show you the designer, as they are long gone. Is your god dead? Is that why you can't show it to me?

God is Spirit. You must pass over to have a clear view.

bhsmte, the majority of Christians (Argumentum Ad Populum) who have no problem with evolution exemplify the majority of Christians that believe that God was involved in the process. Which is of no concern to me.

Evolution is a process that occurred. There is no doubt, it is true and we have tons of evidence that supports that evolution happens. Evolution which is change of the genetic makeup of an organism has been shown beyond a shadow of doubt. Yet, what you and others forget or simply deny is that this process is not so cut and dried and what we are finding today is that the mechanisms that were once thought to have created the diversity of life on earth are much more complex and the predictions of how this occurred are being found less certain as technology and knowledge advances. The ToE is so entrenched in Science that those who are finding the once held beliefs are not holding up to the new studies that are being done. Epigenetic studies are proving that there is genetic change in one generation due to factors like stress causing the offspring to have stress related problems even though they themselves are not stressed.

In this regard, it is time to question age old beliefs that were based on perhaps less than accurate understandings. That is Science after all. I have found recently on this board that even though it is adamantly denied that evolution supporters hold to almost a religious belief of the theory. Anyone that questions any feature or element of ToE is pounced upon not unlike some Bible beaters that they argue against. Science can not allow itself to be mired in dogma and set in any form, it must follow where the evidence leads and the evidence has to support that which is claimed.

Simple solution, show how you would improve the theory, based on objective evidence of course.

Do they however believe, do you in fact believe that evolution is a mindless, unguided process with no goals or purpose?

Why do you care so much what others think about this once? If you want to believe evolution is guided by a mind, then insert your God for your own satisfaction.

Of course, you would have to insert the mind of God on faith alone, which seems to be an issue for you.

The poster said he couldn't comprehend the complexity of the human body, therefore a creator.

That's a horrible reason, and also a logical fallacy in itself, to assume humans were created.

I don't completely understand how my computer does what it does. Must be a God.

To conclude that the complexity and complicated systems of the body are simply an illusion of design to me is a horrible conclusion which has no logic and requires more faith than any religion does.

First step; get your mind right.

Give him a chance. I want to hear this.

I have often said, and will repeat, I'm COMPLETELY open to there being a god. I just haven't seen any reason to believe in one.

So, if he has something, I'm all ears.
