To be fair, perhaps you should include a picture showing how the Priests of Israel used the Urim and thummim? or how about a picture of Moses talking to a bush? Balaam having a conversation with his ass?... etc... etc... etc...

That is if you want to be fair?

And while we're at it we could post pictures of Mohammed receiving revelations in a cave. The Quran has just as much evidence as the BOM. And just like the BOM, and its adherents, when the Bible contradicts the Quran, guess which one the Submitters, i.e. Muslims, choose as authoritative.

You're right, So I withdraw my original statement. It wouldn't be fair to post those pictures from the Bible stories, because the Joseph Smith picture is rather tame in comparison.

Postem. The issue is the product... Joe-made revelation is an abomination. The JST is a self-serving mangling of God's word. Spiritual ebola.

I have not a clue....
But then, as before, your question/post was only meant to showcase your intelligence anyway....
As it really had nothing to do with my post.

Like I explained to you the other day...
Everyone gets it... So stop pretending that you don't, because you are not fooling anyone.

13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?"
14 And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
16 Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

How does that answer my question on how to determine that Joseph Smith gave us a correct translation?

Matt 16:13-16 explains, according to you, that prayer, fasting, etc, is the way to verify that Joseph Smith gave us an accurate translation.

This is your argument. Pretty ambiguous.

It had more to do with your post than your's did to Dr. Steve's post you responded to.

And what makes your opinion correct?

Show me a single manuscript that supports Joseph Smith's "translation" of Romans 8:30. He mangled it to fit his theology. To call such deception a translation tramples upon language, ethics and truth.

Let's start THERE.No changing the question or wandering away from the challenge.

LOL.... Once again you have proven me correct without realizing it.
Notice how your beliefs about religion and God are based solely on the evidence of Scholars, Historians, Linguists and Theologians.

In other words, it's as I said.... You have built a God in the image of what you are willing to accept as truth from man's knowledge.

You cannot be serious! Dr. Steve asked for manuscript evidence, not "Scholars, Historians, Linguists and Theologians." Who is the one accepting as truth man's knowledge? Your entire religious group is based on what one man said.

Your beliefs are built upon the "trust me" of a glass looker with a penchant for 14 year olds.

I asked for an existing manuscript that supports Joseph. That is not a reference to scholar, historians, linguists or theologians. It is a request for evidence to support Joseph when thousands of manuscripts contradict him.

I think I understand the point of referring us to Matthew 16:13-18.

If Joseph were legitimate, we would need God to reveal this, like how we know who Jesus is because our Father has revealed this to us.

But . . . I have looked at a little bit of the Book of Mormon and it does not give me what the Bible gives.

So, I am offering to ask . . . what has Joseph Smith said about being personally ruled by God's own peace in our "hearts"?

Jesus did not back down from answering questions, even from enemies. He told them they were wrong, yes, but then He gave good answers which others could benefit from.

And when Paul answered the question about the resurrection, in 1 Corinthians 15, yes he called the person asking "foolish", but then he gave very helpful things about the resurrection, for us all to benefit from.

So . . . what do Mormons officially teach and share about what it is like to be ruled by God's peace in our hearts?

Do you believe that our Father personally rules each of us in our "hearts"?

And what happens because of this? If God is ruling us, is this all the time, and does this mean that He always is leading us, even in every detail . . . as much as we are submissive to how He rules us?

What is needed, so we are being ruled by God's peace in our "hearts"?

Do the Mormons have anything to say about this ? ?

If you don't, this is why I have stayed with the Bible. But I am offering you an invitation to quote what you officially have on this. I am surprised that no one, so far, has found this worthwhile to answer. I have asked this a number of times.

I don't know... I find it difficult to answer a platitude to where it would be meaningful to anyone.

I am beginning to wonder if you even know the meaning to the word "platitude". So far you have dismissed everything as a "platitude". You are beginning to sound like the Sicilian in the Princess Bride who says "Inconceivable" at every opportunity, especially where it doesn't fit.
