Israel is in its location, in fulfillment of prophecy, and though facing antagonism against it, Yahweh God is its real defense, and God is true to his word, with restoration that will come, Isaiah 49:15-16, Psalm 137:5-6, the people of Jerusalem will call on Christ when he will return, Luke 13:35, and all Israel that will be remaining will be saved, Romans 11. In the time after that, Israel will be chief in the testimony and enforcement of Christ's kingdom in this world.

But do not forget that in the mean time, two-thirds of all the inhabitants of the land will be killed. (Zechariah 13:8)

God is done with ethnos! Rom 11:30. Everything is concluded in Christ Jesus. He is the final word of God. There is no "need" to "prove" the Bible to be "true" by having Israel reign for 1000 years because of ancient promises. Paul's carreer, mission, ministry was to show that did not matter any more because of the surpassing truth of what is in Christ Jesus.

What is distinct from Judaism about our Christian faith? See the thread!

Show me a restoration of Israel where the Spirit is not at work! cp Isaiah 59. How can you have this if the Spirit is not poured out?

The outpour of the Holy Spirit on the day of pentecost was in preparation or in advance to this time. The gospel has never been preached as it has been in this present time. Jesus Christ said that "The gospel would be preached in all the world". The gospel never reached the whole world at that time as it has done today.

Actually there are three places where it was said to be (I Tim 3, Col 1, ___), Kingdom, and it brings up the question: how relative is the NT to its times and place?-- especially on Judaic things or things that wrap up how God did things with Israel in the old covenant, which has now changed.

Fred, the Is passage is used several times by the NT about the Gospel event. Apparently you don't realize it is already commented on and these conflict with how you are using it. You might do a complete search just of Is 49 before going further.

Lk 13's "until they say..." is not a prediction, because there were people there who did, the ones who were believers. it is indicating to leaders in Judaism what they need to do to belong to the new nation that God had given the vineyard to. They needed to sing Ps 118 about Christ. What you are doing is the futurist habit of jumping X000 years to the future for the passage's meaning instead of what it meant then and what is ongoing because it meant that then.

The passage I use is not invalidated by anything in the context, Yahweh's concern and care for Jerusalem as stated is not limited. I do know the contexts of Bible passages that I use.

It is implied then here that Christ did not give prophecies for the future, and he most definitely did. The case for that would be lengthy. What is ongoing is reaching to a point in the future, as stated.

I notice that too. All that are remaining are truly a remnant, it is those that will ever really come to Christ. It is sad that there is so much prophecy including what is against them, that will still happen before it is acknowledged and they acknowledge Christ, with calling on him, after all the miraculous testimony for them. Still those, all of the people of Israel that there will be then, will really be saved.
