Facebook Challenges

How do you feel about facebook challenges?

  • I love the ice bucket challenge and anything to raise money for a cause!

  • I love the "say nice things" or "list my favorite____" challenge because it makes me think

  • I love the clean eating and fitness challenges, they make me motivated to do better

  • I like photo contests and challenges, it's a great way to get hashtag attention

  • challenges are stupid. I'd rather go read a book.

  • I don't do your challenges, I make my own and make everyone else do it!

  • I don't have facebook. What is that? Is that a book with a face in it?

  • I like ALL the challenges! I'm center spotlight on FB and I have 9000 adoring friends!

No, I'm not talking about trying to get more people to like your fan page for an obscure Japanese cartoon character no one has ever heard of...

I'm talking about the Ice Bucket Challenge and other like it.

I've been invited to participate in 5 challenges in 2 weeks, and just because I wanted something to get excited about, I did all of them and am still doing 2 of them.
-Ice bucket
-3 positive thoughts a day for 5 days
-5 day clean eating
-fms photo a day for September
-10 books that influenced me

Each one I've had to post something and share.
I enjoy these challenges, but other people don't.
So I wanted to get a general consensus from everyone out there.
Do you love Facebook (or twitter) challenges?
Do you hate them?
Do you make your own?
How will it help you socially?
How will it hinder you socially?
I CHALLENGE You to share

Sorry, but I kinda let God tell me what to do, not social media :) Not knocking anyone who enjoys the fun camaraderie of "challenging" their friends to do something positive. It's just not for me. If I had a bunch of friends, I might be more into such stuff. I'm friendless, and it's just plain sad lol.

It depends. If the challenge is for a cause that will "truly" benefit someone, I am fine with it. No one has called me out though because they know I have a medical condition that is somewhat parallel to ALS except for the speedy death rate and a few other things. I know the power of successful research and if the challenge is to raise money for it, great.

Now, as for the ceiling fan challenge, what is wrong with people?

I have watched friends do the ice bucket challenge, but if I am challenged, I won't. For one, I can't afford a donation right now, second, ice could be a problem for my heart health right now, and third, I don't do pictures of myself, never mind videos.

Challenges I have taken up recently:
  • list 10 books that have stuck with you or impacted your life
  • 5 days of being thankful for 3 things
  • writing prompt Friday
