Where you live probably has codes for the amount of animals you have unless you are a registered shelter, right? So, that's probably not a good idea. Plus, think of all the littler boxes you will have to clean daily. Do you want to do that?

Peanut oil is good if you aren't allergic.

Canola oil is very bad for you. It is very refined and as bad as margarine.

I recommend coconut oil, or butter. Olive oil is also good, and biblical.

Can't really comment about the cats. Not sure why you need so many?Won't the one you have now be jealous? Don't take on any more than you can handle. Jesus says to count the cost and I guess that applies to things like pet ownership as well. You wouldn't want to be in a position where you feel responsible for feeding them all yet complain to all your friends that you have no money and then spend it all on cats.

I have a friend who is sort of like that. She even asked me to ask at work to raise money for cats she doesn't even own. I demurred. She really needs to understand that God will look after them, if she lets Him. After all He looks after the sparrows.

We are told to be good stewards of our money and not to get into debt and not to
spend all that we have. It's wonderful that you care about cats and want to help them, but you are just one l'il ol' person with (like most of us) limited resources. How are you going to pay for any vet bills that will inevitably occur. The truth is you can't really take care of that many cats.

Maybe to satisfy your desire help to felines you could volunteer some time in a cat shelter, or donate food, whatever.

I love cats (and dogs etc.) too, but I know I can only do so much for them, realistically.

Praying you will be able to help the critters in creative ways while being responsible and wise in your finances.

Luke 18:22
When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

If you feel God wants you to be the cat lady then you have your answer. If not then you have your answer too. Pray about it.

I can only afford one cat, but I'm trusting God will provide the cash flow for the others.

You might say to trust God to provide the cash flow...if the project were something that advanced God's work, that is. But does abusing 28 cats do that? I don't think so.

Besides, it's not as though Bengal cats are so common and unattractive that no one with a good home would want one or two of them.

I wouldn't do it. Unless you have a huge house and can clean out 28 litter boxes on a regular basis, and give each cat attention and affection, really, I wouldn't. We have two cats and a dog, and one of those cats is a recent kitten. We've always been pet owners, and yet when we got that kitten, we had a touch time integrating him and dealing with him. Three pets is more than enough for us.

I can only afford one cat, but I'm trusting God will provide the cash flow for the others. Or, should I get therapy? Sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't! (bonus if you get that)

But seriously, should I annoint the frying pan with vegatable or canola?

Just remind yourself that with 28 cats comes 28+ cat poops a day that must get cleaned out of the litter box.

Also, everything in your house will start to look the same, which is a thick coating of bengal hair on all surfaces and clothes.

We always knew.

You've heard of Air BnB, right? Start up an Air KnC.
Lose the people and host the cats.

Take pictures of them doing cute things and sell them back to the owners. "Bengal's visit to Znr's."
Make cat cookies, warmers, beds and scratchposts and sell them to your guests' owners.
The guilt factor drives sales. XD

Offer pickup service from the airport, hospital, Ronald McDonald house, mall.

Connect with AirB people who don't accept cats.

Put links on your website to CafePress feline merchandise. And then send your web stats to your last boss and say, "That's how you run a business."

My friend (the one mad about cats) really wants to do this.
But I don't think people in nz would pay to have coffee with cats.
We already have our own.

I suggest like someone else..volunteer at an animal shelter. Or find paying work at a cattery. I did that one summer, worked at a cattery. It was ok, but cleaning up poo wasn't that fun. However, I loved the cats. So..that's what you do. Or go cat-sitting. Much easier than dog sitting. I would not ever dog-sit again.

Try removing the quoted Ytbs; a quote is a slight indent.
Right now I see two ads that are videos side-by-side; that can't help.

Thanks for entertaining us! Songify is fascinating. I mean cats.

This morning saw an article on a teen who insisted on including his cat in his HS yearbook photo. Declined. Didn't want to post the link bc he already has more attention than he wants, I'm sure.

More thoughts...

Can I add this you tube video?
It's not about cats, but I love the song
carpenter - Bless the Beasts and the Children - YouTube

I'm helping mum look after our sick chook, Martha. We took her to the bird barn, they said she might have worms.

Today I picked up a book from the library called 'Under the Paw' Confessions of a Cat Man by Tom Cox. I can't wait to read it.

I also love the youtube of Socks, Bill Clintons cat.

The video thing is a slight glitch. It can be fixed by editing the link. I did that, so if anybody sees where I edited their posts, that's all it was.

We've got a part Bengal, part Maine Coon kitten at our house. She's a foster and actually belongs to my sister, but they can't provide her a good home right now. She's adorable but a terror and thinks she runs the household. The two permanent resident cats and the two other long-term guests (they belong to my nephew who is staying with us until he can get on his feet) are working with her about that attitude.

Add to the mix that she's a polydactyl, which means extra claws. Typically, cats have four claws on each paw, with dew claws on the back paws, totalling 18. Little Ghost has all of that plus a "thumb" on each front paw, AND she has an additional claw growing in between the thumb and first claw. That's two extra claws on each front paw, a total of 22. Ohhhh, when she tries to jump into my lap, and misses, and then has to dig her claws in to keep from falling off..... Ouch. We're teaching her to jump up beside us, not on us, and then walk into our laps.
