• Trinitarian differences

• Jesus said, "The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him." (John 13:16) Jesus said on numerous occasions that, "the Father… hath sent me." (John 5:37,6:37) The Holy Ghost was also sent by the Father (John 14:26) and Jesus (John 16:7), thus making Jesus inferior to the Father and the Holy Ghost inferior to both the Father and Jesus.

• "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever; even the spirit of truth." (John 14:16)

• Jesus prays to God. (John 17:1-3)

• Jesus has faith in God. (Hebrews 2:17,18, Hebrews 3:2)

• Jesus is a servant of God. (Acts 3:13)

• Jesus does not know things God knows. (Mark 13:32, Revelation 1:1)

• Jesus worships God. (John 4:22)

• Jesus has one who is God to him. (Revelation 3:12)

• Jesus is in subjection to God. (1 Corinthians 15:28)

• Jesus' head is God. (1 Corinthians 11:1)

• Jesus has reverent submission, fear, of God. (Hebrews 5:7)

• Jesus is given lordship by God. (Acts 2:36)

• Jesus is exalted by God.(Acts 5:31)

• Jesus is made high priest by God. (Hebrews 5:10)

• Jesus is given authority by God. (Philippians 2:9)

• Jesus is given kingship by God. (Luke 1:32,33)

• Jesus is given judgment by God. (Acts 10:42)

• "God raised [Jesus] from the dead". (Acts 2:24, Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:15)

• Jesus is at the right hand of God. (Mark 16:19, Luke 22:69, Acts 2:33, Romans 8:34)

• Jesus is the one human mediator between the one God and man. (1 Timothy 2:5)

• God put everything, except Himself, under Jesus. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)

• Jesus did not think being "equal with God" was obtainable . (Philippians 2:6)

• "Around the ninth hour, Jesus shouted in a loud voice, saying "Eli Eli lama sabachthani?" which is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"" (Matthew 27:46)

The usual out-of-context proof texts. Jesus existed in one form, Philippians 2, vs. 6, but took upon himself another form, vs. 7.

What was Jesus’ form before? If he was literally, actually a man afterward what was he literally, actually before?

Philippians 2:6-11 6. Who, being [continual existence] in the form [μορφη] of God, thought it not robbery [something to be grasped] to be equal with God:

(Greek Interlinear) Philippians 2:6-11 ος {who,} εν {in [the]} μορφη {form} θεου {of god} υπαρχων {subsisting,} ουχ {not} αρπαγμον {something to be used to his own advantage} ηγησατο το {esteemed it} ειναι {the being} ισα {equal} θεω {with god;}

The verb ειναι, translated ”to be,” in the KJV, which appears to be a future tense in English, is a present infinitive, not a future tense. “the being equal with god,” was a, then, present reality not something considered and rejected.

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him[self] the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Jesus’ earthly ministry occurred between verses, 7 and 8. Where the one who was equal with God, vs. 6, the one who, acting upon himself, became flesh, cf. John 1:14, made himself of no reputation, vs. 7, cf. Heb 2:17, took upon himself the form of a servant, and was in the likeness of men, vs. 7. After which God, not merely exalted him, but “highly exalted” him, and glorified him with the same glory he had with the Father before the world existed (John 17:5)

It was here where all the things anti-Trinitarians cannot comprehend happened, e.g. “If Jesus was God, why didn’t he know the hour of his return?” etc., etc., etc.

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

If Jesus was only a mere human being, how does a human being, “humble himself and become obedient unto death?” All mankind is appointed to death, no obedience or humbling involved! Heb 9:27. Were the criminals who were crucified with Jesus also obedient, did they also humble themselves unto death on the cross?

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, cf. [יהוה/YHWH, Isa 45:23] of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, cf. [ יהוה/YHWH, Isa 45:23] to the glory of God the Father.

In verses 10,11 Paul applies Isaiah 45:23, which refers to יהוה/YHWH], to Jesus as I have shown above!

The Committee on Bible Translation worked at updating the New International Version of the Bible [which was] published in 2011.

In it's notes under "Progress in Scholarship" it discusses the following change:

When the NIV was first translated, the meaning of the rare Greek word αρπαγμον /harpagmos, rendered ‟something to be grasped,” in Philippians 2:6 was uncertain. But further study has shown that the word refers to something that a person has in their possession but chooses not to use to their own advantage. The updated NIV reflects this new information, making clear that Jesus really was equal with God when he determined to become a human for our sake: ‟[Christ Jesus], being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage.”

A short excerpt from the 25 page Harvard theological review article αρπαγμον /harpagmos, by Roy Hoover, referenced in the NIV.

‘O petros de arpagmon ton dia stavrou thanton epoieito dia tas soterious elpidas”

(And Peter considered death by means of the cross harpagmon on account of the hope of salvation, Comm in Luc 6)

“Tines…ton thanaton arpagma themenoi ten ton dussebon moxtherias”

(Since some regarded death as harpagma in comparison with the depravity of ungodly men. Hist. Eccl VCIII,12.2)

Not only are arpagma and arpagmos used synonymously in these two statements, but they are used synonymously by the same author in reference to the same object—death—and in expressions whose form precisely parallels that of the arpagmos remark in Phil 2:6.
What [Eusebius] wants to say, rather, is that because of the hope of salvation crucifixion was not a horror to be shunned, but an advantage to be seized.

“Arpagma” is used exactly this way in Hist. Eccl. VIII,12.2. At this point Eusebius is recounting the sufferings of Christians in periods of persecution. Some believers in order to escape torture threw themselves down from rooftops. There can be no suggestion of “robbery” or of violent self-assertion in this remark, nor can self-inflicted death under such circumstances be considered an unanticipated windfall.

Yahwah and Yahshua are not the same person DA. There are many Lords, but there is only one person who is truly God.

I don't know who Yahwah and Yahshua are so I can't comment on this.

I have repeatedly asked for credible, verifiable, historical evidence. Wiki is not it! Every article at Wiki has several [edit] links anybody can change, delete or add to any article, at any time without review or control. Anything at Wiki is no more credible than the graffiti scribbled on a public facility wall.

Is the underlined talking about Jesus or God?

1Jo 5:20
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true;
and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life.

.

"5.20 τὸν ἀληθινόν {B}
The reading that best explains the origin of the others is τὸν ἀληθινόν , which is supported by representatives of several early types of text (B 81 syrp:h cop bomss.....). In order to clarify the reference of the adjective, copyists added Θεον either before τὸν ἀληθινόν (629) or after (A .........). "

A Textual Commentary on the Greek New Testament,B. M. Metzger, UBS, 1975, pg.718.

My point in this is to show that even in antiquity it wasn't clear if it was Jesus or God that was being refered to when it says 'this is the true God". That is why they added theon to "him who is true" (τὸν ἀληθινόν ). The meaning is clear if one knows whether or not Jesus is God. and one knows whether or not JEsus is God from other scriptures, not 1 john 5.20.

What I am saying is the wording fits with either belief, it fits with believing that Jesus is God and it fits with believing that Jesus is not God. on that point it is unclear. And it is unclear because there was no need to make that point clear, when it was written everyone knew who Jesus was, whether he was God or not.

Jesus as the man born of Mary never claimed to be God of Himself, He was God only as the Father at conception came and dwelt in Him in all fullness,

It was Yahweh, LORD, of Hosts that performed this union of God and man.

Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Ga 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Jesus was not another God but in Him dwelt God the Father the one and only True God.

Also the Holy Spirit is not another God but is what God our Father is!

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

The purpose of the god list is for you to view the absurdity for yourself.

If Yahshua was part of a Trinity, then he most certainly was not the Messiah. Yahwah states that He alone is God, and that there are no others. There is only one person who is truly a God in Judaism, and that is what makes Judaism different from all other beliefs. Trinitarianism and Judaism do not go hand in hand. That would be a contradiction to the basic core of Judaism. The Basic faith of Abraham was that there is only one whom is truly a God, and all the others are manmade gods. The reason for other people being called gods in the bible, is that they have, or will have, life immortal. Only Yahwah can grant immortality.

Christ came to reconcile mankind to God in a new covenant. Christ also directed us to only worship and pray to the Father.

And Christ is YHWH. Christ also has immortality, and the Father has granted to him to have Life in himself. So if your interpretation is correct and none other can become God, how then will Christ inherit YHWH's holy mountains, and be called the Eternal Father? Isa. 9:6? Is He a new God or one with God?

Isa. 9:6 is not translated correctly. We are also called to be one with the Father through Christ. The word "one" is being used to mean "unity."

The reason for other people being called gods in the bible, is that they have, or will have, life immortal.[/B] Only Yahwah can grant immortality.
Christ came to reconcile mankind to God in a new covenant.
Christ also directed us to only worship and pray to the Father.

I can claim in the Judaism of the disciples of Christ, Christ is God. The faith of the Apostles, was faith in the incarnate Logos, Jesus, who is God. (See John 1:1)
You cant expect anyone to take your word for it, mentioning "in Judaism" countless times.
The Basic faith of the Apostle John, and the rest of the Apostles: the Trinitarian belief... (I don't expect you to take my word for it)

Okay, onto the meat of what you claimed:
Yahwah states that He alone is God, and that there are no others.
He does state that besides him there is no other God. It is also written:
"I, even I, am the LORD, And there is no savior besides Me. (Isaiah 43:11)
By your logic, Jesus is not savior.
However Jesus is savior.
"looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus" (Titus 2:13)

If it is true that only God is our savior,
and if it is true that Jesus is our savior,
then it follows that Jesus is God.

If it can be said only the the Lord in Isaiah 43:11 is savior, and Jesus is savior, the apparent nullifying of the possibility that Jesus is God, is void.

The Father is alone God, and "The Redeemer, and King, and Alpha and Omega"... but so is Jesus.
How does one reconcile this?

Jesus is of the Father, the Word, who has proceeded forth from the Father, carrying the same essence, and fullness of deity:

"I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father."(John 16:28)
"For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form"(Colossians 2:9)

I want to elaborate on one point, he came out of the Father, having been born of him. He is not merely the Son of God in the sense that he was born of the Virgin Mary, he is the Son of God in the sense that he is the image of God, the Light, and Word who proceeds forth the the Father. He was not merely a being created outside of God, but rather he is a one who came out of God the Father.
The word used in John 16:28, for "came forth" is: ἐξῆλθον, which is not merely coming from, having been next to, but rather, coming from within, going out.
He eternally existed with the Father, proceeding forth from him.

So, whenever "God alone" has some property, such as being savior, which appears in the text, my point is, it does not exclude the Begotten God, Christ, from sharing the exact same properties, and in no way contradicts the fact that only God has such a property.

The reason for other people being called gods in the bible, is that they have, or will have, life immortal.

I suppose by that reasoning, Jesus is God, or at least "god" since he has life immortal.

Christ also directed us to only worship and pray to the Father.
I dont recall reading a verse in the New Testament in which Christ directs people only worship the Father and not the Son or the Holy Spirit. He never said, "worship The Father only and not me".

Is it wrong of me to worship Jesus?
If it is wrong for me to do so, why is it permitted by Jesus himself, when he is worshiped in the NT?
"And he said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped Him."(John 9:38)
"And behold, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him."(Matthew 28:9)
Apparently even the Father is fine with even "angels" (or special messengers as you may say), to worship the Son.

"And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says,
“AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM.”"Hebrews 1:6

john 6. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God

Matthew 16:20 20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ

matthew 16. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven

20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

People didn't know who Jesus was because it took the holy spirit to reveal to them that JEsus was the Christ the son of the living God(mat 16.17)

It was not known to most who believed in Jesus at the time of the events spoken of here, who Jesus was exactly because it hadn't been told to them. After his death the fact that Jesu was the christ the son of God was made perfectly clear to the followers of Jesus. Even today most all Christians know that or really they aren't Christians.
