the number of believers are diminishing. Of course the Church will never be destroyed cuz Jesus promised it wont. But believers will be very few left. It's already happening though. :(

Nothing could be furthur from the truth.

There are more Christians on earth today than any time in history and tomorrow there will be more than today.

The Size and Distribution of the World’s Christian Population | Pew Research Center's Religion & Public Life Project

The number of Christians around the world has nearly quadrupled in the last 100 years, from about 600 million in 1910 to more than 2 billion in 2010. But the world’s overall population also has risen rapidly, from an estimated 1.8 billion in 1910 to 6.9 billion in 2010. As a result, Christians make up about the same portion of the world’s population today (32%) as they did a century ago (35%).

This is Exactly as prophesied:
Isaiah 9:7
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Certainly NOT !

I believe the end of the world won't come in our era. But after hundreds of years.
There will be a peaceful era after the Chastisement.
I disagree. And that's essentially the same as saying that you know the date.

I don't believe the world will end in 15 years.

However, I'm not optimistic about it being great times to be alive.

I think the world is heading toward a great tribulation like nothing seen before, especially in the USA.

Jim

I agree Jim. Those who live by the spirit will understand this.

We may not know the day and hour, but we will know the season.

I think he's referring to Revelation 20:7.

20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the abyss and a huge chain. 2 He seized the dragon, the old snake, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the abyss, then locked and sealed it over him. This was to keep him from continuing to deceive the nations until the thousand years were over. After this he must be released for a little while.

Since we haven't had the precursor to this event, we have (at minimum) a thousand years till the end. (Since the OP question pertained to the next 15 years.)

That's Chiliasm.

Chiliasm was condemned as Heresy by the Church in the 4th Century.

As far as I know, that condemnation still stands today.

There is No such thing as a Literal 1000 year Milennium.

Edit to correct link. This link is easier to read:

http://www.catholic.com/quickquesti...y-of-revelation-201-10-is-being-fulfilled-now

From that site:
The spiritual resurrection experienced by the saints in heaven is known as "the first resurrection" (5b), and it signifies that one will not be cast into hell to experience "the second death" (6).

After the millennium, the devil, released from his bondage, is again able to deceive the nations/gentiles and gather them against God's people (7–8). But they are destroyed by Christ at the Second Coming and cast into hell (9–10).

I don't interpret 1,000 years literally. But I interpret it as being the period starting with the Edict of Milan which legalized Christianity. The Church was able to grow with tremendous leaps and bounds from this. But Christendom reached a peak, and then nearly all of those countries have apostatized. And the world has been going downhill ever since, especially in the last century and this one. So I interpret the thousand years when the Devil was bound up as having come and gone. And I believe that we are living in the period when it says that he would be released for a while before the coming Judgment.

Jesus tells us that no one will know when the Son of Man is Coming, referring to 'end times'. Jesus tells us that 'end times' will be just like the days of Noah. Well! Noah knew the 'end times' of his time, was coming and he built an ark to survive end times. The same goes for Lot surviving the destruction, aka end times, of Sodom and Gomorrah.

God tells us, through scripture, that there will be a 'prolongation' of life when Jesus comes to Rule the world under Messianic Reign. The faithful and observant of 'the signs of the times', will know how to survive the Battle of Armageddon, where Jesus takes over as King and Ruler of the world. The world will go through a great cleansing, but Christ's faithful will survive to enter into Christ's great 'Kingdom Come' on earth. Sure, it will be the end of time for many, or most, people on earth, like the era of the Great Flood, but not all, as it was in the day of Noah.

Basically, you just want to be one of the few to survive 'end times' as Noah and Lot survived end times.

And, yes, I think what is described in scripture as end times, will come in the next fifteen years. Hallelujah! Let Jesus Rule! Let us, even though few in number, enter into Christ's Kingdom Come of the Restored Kingdom of Israel, on free willed earth. Repent of your sins, receive absolution of your sins through the Christ's Sacraments, pray constantly, and join us.

I just published a new chapter to www.iloveyougod.com
It is titled. Penance! Penance! Penance!; Surviving the Battle of Armageddon. Please visit. Surviving The Battle of Armageddon

Please also visit: A 'Thousand Years' Until Doomsday

NAB LUKE 17:22 The Day of the Son of Man.

Then he said to his disciples, “The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.
There will be those who will say to you, ‘Look, there he is,’ [or] ‘Look, here he is.’ Do not go off, do not run in pursuit. For just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be [in his day]. But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation. As it was in the days of Noah,n so it will be in the days of the Son of Man; they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage up to the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Similarly, as it was in the days of Lot: they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building; on the day when Lot left Sodom, fire and brimstone rained from the sky to destroy them all. So it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

I don't know if the world will end in 15 years, but I'm trying really hard to make it happen. I want to be eaten first so I won't have to endure the tribulation everyone keeps talking about.

One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here. And I for one welcome our new insect overlords. I’d like to remind them that as a trusted TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

Basically, I believe that we are. The epicenter of global crisis is in the Middle East, just as it talks about in biblical prophecy. It's like a ticking time bomb. This is my personal opinion based on Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, history, and modern world events. The Church hasn't officially named any specific event as being the fulfillment of one of the signs mentioned in biblical prophecy about the End Times. And I think the Church will remain basically silent on it all the way until the day that Jesus returns. I don't claim to know the date when this will happen.

Well, we should all expect you to believe the opposite of your user name I guess.....

The epicenter of global crisis is in the Middle East,

Ukraine is in the Middle east?

just as it talks about in biblical prophecy.

Not to be a stickler for details... well, why lie?.... I'm a stickler for details.
Care to cite one or two of these "prophesies" you are referring to?

It's like a ticking time bomb. This is my personal opinion based on Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, history, and modern world events.

Every Generation has had folks like you who believed the end would be in their generation based on exactly what you are basing your opinion on. What makes you think you know more than they did?
And why won't someone a generation or two from ours know more about it than you?

The Church hasn't officially named any specific event as being the fulfillment of one of the signs mentioned in biblical prophecy about the End Times.

The Catholic Church is smart that way.

Can't say the same for our protestant brethren however. No matter how many times their end time predictions are proven wrong, they never recant or repent from making them... they just keep moving the goal posts out a little furthur.

One thing EVERY end time prediction has in common is that hey have all been 100% wrong.

Not a track record I'd be comfortable hitching my wagon to....

And I think the Church will remain basically silent on it all the way until the day that Jesus returns.

Again, Proving that The Church is one smart cookie.

I don't claim to know the date when this will happen.

Yet you claim to know the generation?

Ukraine is a manufactured crisis created by the Western media. It does not have an apocalyptic magnitude. It seems that nothing short of the return of Jesus will end the crisis in the Middle East.

I've only been saying that I believe that a lot of events of eschatological biblical prophecy have come to pass. This isn't the same as claiming that I know when Jesus will return. For example, if 85% of the prophecies have come to pass, how can one know how much longer the other 15% will take? According to what Jesus said in Matthew 24, and drawing from how long the plague of darkness lasted in Egypt, when the whole world experiences darkness and we see the sign of the cross shining in the darkness of the sky that's when we can know that His Second Coming is very close, like happening on that day or within a few days. But I don't know when this will happen or whether or not it will be in my lifetime.

Right, Two of the worlds Nuclear Superpowers snowballing toward direct armed conflict with one another at full speed with no negotiated end in sight doesn't have apocalyptic magnitude....

I've only been saying that I believe that a lot of events of eschatological biblical prophecy have come to pass.

Name 5 of them.

Please cite chapter and Verse of each of the 5, and point to the specific event that you claim is the fulfillment of each of them.

Matt 24 is PRIMARILY about the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, you do know this, right?
