The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I don't know what they are using. They are reading my thoughts and their letting you and the whole world know my thoughts. Their not sentences just phrases. How do I go about suing them? What kind of attorney do I call?

Exactly how are they "reading your thoughts"? There are some people out there that use a variety of privacy-rights violating equipment. Don't let anyone in your home if you're not sure about them and how they feel about you. Pray for protection also.

To have such lawsuits at all is a real defeat for you as Christians. Why not just accept mistreatment and leave it at that? It would be far more honoring to the Lord to let yourselves be cheated.

My smart sister doesn't believe my neighbors are reading my thoughts. The rest of the family just agrees with her. As I'm typing this she in her head tells herself who cares. I have nobody to turn to. She call herself a christian. Isn't a christian suppose to help one another? She doesn't help me just because I'm ugly. God gave me understanding and I know that those are the reasons why she doesn't help me. One of my brother says "Jesus doesn't like ugly!" Then my sister says. He meant he doesn't like ugly attitude! Tell me how do I go about suing my neighbors for invading my privacy? Hope you

Believe me when I say, NO PERSON ON EARTH can "read" your thoughts,
but a lot of people, including both of us, can sort of "catch" someones
"drift" so to speak, but alas, some of that can also sometimes not be
completely accurate becuz it is an assumption. Take it to God. I'm praying for you.

When I wasn't a christian I thought everyone I met at school or on the street or anywhere could read my thoughts and I had to think bad thoughts which they read, so I thought, so in my mind I told them: no I don't think this, those are not my thoughts. I get tired when I think of it. Then I asked Jesus into my heart and asked Him to forgive my sins and He set me free from those thoughts and noone could read my thoughts. I read in an occult book that some psychics could read them, that's why I got afraid of it. When I became a christian I read about someone who was into the occult who saw a christian and there was all this white light around him for protection. Since then I wasn't afraid anymore and found out they couldn't read my thoughts.

I've got to admit to being unclear about how they're reading your thoughts.
In my case it wouldn't be hard. I have a tendency to talk to myself (sometimes I need expert advice!) so of course standard listening equipment could pick up the stuff I say out loud as I'm giving voice to my thoughts. But, assuming you aren't doing this-- how are your neighbors reading your thoughts? Are they psychic? They would have to be if you're not giving outward evidence-- by speech or actions-- of what you're thinking. How you stop psychics from knowing what you think-- that could be a problem, and I doubt that a lawsuit will help-- especially since a psychic would probably know what you're planning and could plan a counter-suit as a result.

I don't know that anyone can really read our thoughts, however, there are
people in this world who are very good and reading human behavior and use
that to intimate others into thinking they have something over others, in your
case, you are the target. I don't mean that to sound like they are necessarily out to get you. I have learned that I have to not let people like this through me into a spiral of fear that keeps me from being the better of myself.
The only thing that has worked for me is to distance myself from people like what you describe. Unfortunately, it's very hard when you do it initially.
I pray, beg, ask help from Holy Spirit, St. Michael the Archangel as well as my guardian angel when I feel anxious. Unfortunately, there is a spiritual realm out there that harms our well being and we have to pray and ask for protection.
I've had to listen to a cd of positive affirmations to help myself, take alone breaks when I feel overwhelmed and talking to myself too.
Getting through the fear and anxiety of what you describe is not easy!
Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Do you have a baby monitor or something similar that they could have found a way to listen to through another device? Personally I would call the police.

The only problem with calling the police is that you have to have
"evidence submissable in a court of law", or they can't do anything and
would actually be p.o.'ed at her for calling ESPECIALLY if she's a white
female!! Thats just the way it is now in this country. If she has a landline, its extremely easy to tap it, and they don't even have to tap it if they themselves have a baby monitor, because if she's using a radio phone thats connected to her landline, her neighbors can listen in on all her calls with a simple baby monitor. Or at least I know that some weirdos could do that with the baby monitors of the 90's, don't know if they've changed them to not do that.
I knew a girl with a baby who had a monitor, and she said it was a pain in the rear to always have her neighbors phone calls coming across the monitor!
The woman also needs to STOP TALKING about "certain things" inside her home! sorry to say, but thats just the way it is. And especially if she has any family members that aren't exactly FOR her, she absolutely should NEVER say a peep about anyone to them, or even anything else controversial, not even political, etc,etc. If she has a cellphone, she should get rid of it , becuz its also very easy to hack those now with an online service. Thats whats been done to me since I got my first cellphone back in 2000! First by a stalker/harasser, then by my soon to be ex-husband! The only thing she can do is exactly what Ive had to do. Stop using the current phone, shut off the landline completely, becuz even if she's not on the phone, they can still listen in on whatever sounds are around the phone! Yes, I know, it sounds impossible, but its not. Just google it and start reading. When she gets a new phone, the problem is that she will NEVER be able to call ANYONE that she had already called with the hacked phone, becuz just like what happened to me, the stalker can easily switch the target phone number to someone she always talks to, watch and see when her NEW number shows up on their phone, and BINGO, they're back in business! Thats the problem. And yes, believe me, several people will be actually angry with her about her not having a new number she can give them. She can't even tell them she has a new phone, becuz if its family, the person will look for it and find it and then give the new number out. Its a major bummer and a super major hassle, but unfortunately, thats just how you have to do it. I now have at least 10 people who don't know that I have a new phone. I just tell them I still don't have a safe phone number to give out, which is true, becuz even with the new phone, I have no way of protecting it from being hacked. I can only do online emails, but you have to be very careful with that, becuz they can be changed when forwarding to someone else to make it look like you said something you didn't! Thats also what has happened to me for years! When I go to town, I simply use a pay phone. Period. If they don't like it, oh well. They just have to understand. I've had to go back to good old fashioned snail mail! She can drop a postcard in the mail, and most times if its local, it will be at the receivers mailbox within a day or 2! I also just drop by places when Im already out and about. Another thing, she can sign up for a "community voicemail" box, or another voice mail service, and then call it with her new phone to get her messages, but NEVER call the people with her new phone REGARDLESS of whether she puts it on "anonymous" or not, becuz of the new apps that pull up the number!! It sounds to me like she's talking away about those people and anything else in her home and around her phones, and to her "family" member thats against her. She needs to completely change her habits. Completely. God tells us to be "as shrewd as serpents, but innocent as doves" .Matt.10:16. She's gonna have to start playing it smarter.

You're right. It doesn't. Victims of privacy invasion have to have some sort of rock solid evidence, or the courts would be p.o.'ed and throw it out!
She's just going to have to start playing it smart and doing stuff like I mentioned to be safer about her privacy, even though it may be somewhat of a hassle, in the long run, she will know that no one will be able to listen in on what she's saying and especially if she's no longer saying these things inside her home around a phone or people who are not on her side, and who turn around and repeat things she said. Very sad we have to live in world today w/so much evil technology which makes it so easy to commit one sin after another against someone else. I DESPISE technology with a passion! (even though it has its benefits sometimes)
Its being used as a tool of satan way to often!!!

What you just said is impossible. People cannot read someone else's thoughts.
Your fears are based upon a lie, you have no reason to be fearful at all.
I really don't think I can take you seriously. The thought of someone else reading your thoughts cannot be done, I think I am going to sit here and laugh now.
