You know, when you march into a land and take it over, kick the inhabitants off their property that they've owned in some cases well over a thousand years, demolish their homes, and send them off into appalling conditions or practical exile, choke off their trade and force them to live in squalor, war and terror is a definite possibility. Palestinians will continue to war with Israel. Israel made their bed when they did the very same thing to the Palestinians that the Nazis did to them in places like Poland---take away one's dignity and kick them out of their homes and businesses. Karma is a killer, man....

QUOTE=topcare;66078002]Who does he want to stop? If Israel stopped the muslims would blow them off the map and the muslims won't stop because of their hatred for Israel. Sometimes war is very necessary as it was many times in the OT[/QUOTE]

And in case you didn't notice, through the Romans, HE TOOK IT AWAY! Unless you're into this Pastor Hagee Zionist nonsense, God doesn't deal with His flock through the Jews. If you're a Catholic, you believe He guides the Church via the Pope and the CC's bishops/magisterium. For me as an Orthodox Christian, I believe He guides us through our hierarchs/patriarchs and bishops and the Orthodox Church. But in both cases, the Church is the City on the Hill, the zenith, the guide, not the Jews and their turf. God took it away from them, they spread in a diaspora. It was the U.N. with England and the U.S. who created something that booted people off their land.

I'm just curious, but do you have no pity or compassion toward people who were booted from their land? I happen to go to Church on Sunday with a Palestinian woman, a lovely lady who is Orthodox. Her entire family was kicked off their property by the Israelies in Palestine. They lost EVERYTHING from their home to their land around it and their car, etc. They had to pack their bags and were turned into refugees overnight. They are not Muslims. They're Orthodox Christians. And you are aware that there are MANY Catholics, Orthodox, and even Protestants living in Palestine, right? Are you ok with land theft as long as the GOP tells you to support Israel because they're our homeboys now? Look at the bigger picture. It's like those folks who have no compassion for the Native Americans and see them as backwards savages who scalp people who could utterly care less about them losing their land in spades and being lied to and having treaty after treaty reneged upon. The same mentality that reacts to the Trail of Tears as "oh well, the cost of doing business. It is what it is. Them Indians have casinos now and are doing just fine if you ask me!"

Saying Israel should have their own nation is one thing, but in order to make it booting people off their land and reducing them to squalor, that's another.

Israel got the land from God, it was never the Philistines land.

God never took the promise away, God never took the covenant away. Israel has always been and will always be God's chose people and I feel bad for people like you that absolutely hate God's chosen people on judgment day.

Hello Topcare,

Actually God did boot Israel out of the Promised Land. Because of Israel's great multitude of sins, God had, 'the big eagle' rip them out of the Promised Land and put them, the house of Israel in Assyria and the House of Judah in Babylon.

God's Big, and I mean Big, Promise, is that He is going to restore Israel. Allied Nations making Israel a nation in 1949 was not the fulfillment of God's Promise to Israel. God is going to Restore Israel when Messianic Reign begins. The Catholic Church, those of her members faithful to Jesus, will be the New Jerusalem, aka Zion. The Catholic Church, made up of all races, will be the Restored Kingdom of Israel.

Jesus is the Messiah of Israel to restore the Kingdom to Israel, not the UN or WWII Allied Nations. Wait for Jesus to Restore the Kingdom to Israel, this will be the true Restoration of Israel.

The Rise, Fall And Restoration of Israel

NAB ACT 1:6

When they had gathered together they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.

This. The Gentiles were grafted into the tree of life. Along with the faithful Hebrews, they became the Church of Christ. The branch of the tree who rejected Jesus withered and was cut off.

<Staff Edit> The CHURCH is Zion. The CHURCH is the fount of salvation. The CHURCH is the well of sacraments. The Jews had their chance. Read Scripture, read the Fathers. Salvation is not with the Jewish people. God scattered them.

No, just a Christian that listens to what God said about Israel

For thus says the LORD of hosts, "After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. [emphasis added]

I do not listen to that quack err I mean guy. I stand and support Israel because even though you can't stand it they are God's chosen peoples and if God doesn't change than Israel always will be His chosen people. Of course you may believe God changes

Mod hat on
This thread was cleaned from Off topic/personal attacks etc. posts three times. If this will keep up we will have to close it down.

This is a congregational forum so please if you are not RC do not debate!!
Also no personal questioning others about "what/who" there are pms for such an interaction. Keep it on the issue at hand not other posters.

Thanks:)
