I got 25 inches of snow. Took hours to clear the drive. Snowblower broke. Had to fix it. Then cleared the elderly couple's drive across the street.
yeah, we got 28 inches here, worst storm on record. It was fun for the first 3 hours, then I had to shovel. I've been stuck in the house with the same people for 4 days now, and we're running low on food and running out of videos to watch... not so much fun. The street was plowed just a few hours ago so we'll probably be able to get out and about tomorrow. I don't think I could stand another day inside!
ARRGGGHHHHH..... It's all my wife's fault!!! She actually prays for the stuff, says it pretty. Being originally from central valley California she has never driven in it, that will be the day she stops wishing for it. We got over 20" and it took almost an hour to dig the mazda out (the blazer, on the other hand, dropped it into 4lo and plowed myself out).
Snow is over-rated. Looks great, and it's fun to play with for a while - but when you're cold and soaked to the skin, and your car won't start, life starts to swim back into perspective.
Just try driving up Jacob's Ladder (on Mount Ben Lomond, Tasmania) without snow chains!
