The will of God.
I am living a moment in my life where I am utterly confused. Oh why, why is not possible to have a simple, clear conversation with God, telling Him : oh Dad, please I need Your advice, I am afraid to do the wrong choice. I have prayed like that a million times....and all I get is silence, at least about a certain matter. I need something Clear, clear directions......clear.

Why God is so silent sometimes? It is my fault? I know I have to refer to the Word of God but sometimes there are two ways and none of them is against the Scripture.
I have bee crying out desperately for directions.

What about this silence? What does it mean? Is it me? It must be me.

The will of God is such a mystery. Oh Dad, please, talk to me

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. - Psalms 22:2

God inhabits the praises of his people!

Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. - Numbers 10:2

I have often thought that there are two necessary parts of worship...

1. The praise and worship - Worship
2. The time in the word - Preaching

I personally think that the worship leader is one of the most powerful positions in the church. If the time of worship is good the whole service is good, no matter who the preacher is.

You can find the Will of God in many ways:

First and foremost, you can find his WILL in the Scripture. Follow what it says and you will live a holy life - that, we can be sure is God's will, it's repeated throughout the Bible.

Now the more practical - you can also find God's will by direct revelation (BUT THIS IS EXTREMELY RARE, so dont expect a burning bush moment where God reveals His will to you) Instead, be open to discernment. God often reveals His will in steps, one day at a time. Be conscious of doors/opportunities opening, then pray over it and try and feel if God is with you in that journey. If you have the Holy Spirit, often you will feel AT PEACE with a decision you make when it is within God's Will. That peace is a guide for us to follow sometimes. And finally, just to be certain, ask advice from GODLY PEOPLE. Such Christians must rely on scripture and practical knowledge to lead you to a perspective that God willed you to go to.

Finally, don't worry overmuch. Trust in God. Don't let your anxiousness that "you may make a mistake" tarnish your faith that God will not leave you nor forsake you. No one receives anything that God doesn't give them - John the Baptist said this. But also, put in mind that sometimes, God will lead you to a wrong decision so as to teach you something you need to learn. So just trust that whatever you choose, as long as you dwell on His Word and his commands and remain faithful, He will not abandon you.

Imo, it must be very difficult for people to figure out God's will when they think God has their whole life specifically planned out for them, down to details. I used to believe this, that God had the right job, husband, friends, church, etc all planned out for me. Then I ran into a fork in life. Either way was not outside of scripture, both paths would have equally glorified God. I prayed and prayed and he was silent, and I could not figure out which direction was in his will. I struggled and struggled until it was eventually too late and I had to do something altogether different.

Personally, I believe God provides opportunities, and it is up to us whether or not to take them. As long as we are keeping our love for God first, then how could it be outside of his will? I believe the Word provides God's will in how we conduct ourselves within the choices we make.

If you are seeking advice, one way God speaks is through the people who know us well and who are mature in faith. You might consider finding someone who you can talk to about whatever advice you need, and hear what they have to say, then prayerfully consider whether you should take their advice. Another thing you can do if you don't want to talk with people close to you, is to hire a Christian coach who can help you figure out the direction you should go.

*God isn't silent, He speaks through His Word, through others, and in that still
small voice etc...
If you are uncertain of what to do but yet the scriptures say what you are
wanting to do isn't sinful, then accept God's Word on the matter.

Are you deciding between two jobs or something?-- sit down with a pen
and paper-- right down the pro's and con's of both jobs. Make sure you take
time to look deeper into both jobs and at who you will be working with or
working for.
Are the hours do-able?
Who was doing the said job or duty before? Why did the previous person leave
or quit the job?
If it's possible, find out if they encountered any unforeseen difficulties.

God has talked to you if you have read His Word --note John 1; John 3; John 14. Nowhere in Scripture are we enjoined to call Jehovah God as "dad". Try being scriptural after reading the verses mentioned here and speak humbly to God and not in a worldly way; and after confessing your natural and sinful nature, receive His "great salvation" in His beloved Son as your Savior and lord of your life. Look up always!

His perfect will is that you love Him and walk with Him.

Our will is to get somewhere fast. We know we're capable, we know we are willing, and yet obstacles keep us from progress. But is getting somewhere fast really progress?

Read bits of Ecclesiastes, and notice how the person who built a large successful empire in one lifetime, looked back and said "meh."

This is not to say that God doesn't support progress, but that He protects us from things that aren't true progress, when we don't see it coming. Working weekends, being stuck with unethical decisions, being undercut by the competition... success has its pains.

If a mother is watching her toddler son play in the living room, she might hand him a few toys she thinks her son would like. The boy makes decisions, throws one across the room, plays with a favorite, explores a new one.

It's not the mother's will to make the child play with one toy, but to generally be safe and learn and use time well. She wants him to learn from the exploration, to develop skills, to know how to socialize and express himself in life. Her desire for him is broader; his desire is narrower.

He sees bright and shiny; she sees how he's learning to line things up and organize.

He is desperate for immediate juice; she knows he will have dinner in ten minutes.

So in your approach, try not to let fear of lack control you. Calm yourself in Him, and choose to take a broader, more trusting tack.

It's not easy when there's a big gap of nothingness in sight! But it's part of the process of learning about life, and using faith.

Christianity's behavior is based on motivations, rather than merely the letter of the law. Even if we supposedly do the right thing, if we do it with the wrong motivation as its impetus we have 'screwed up'. I like this passage for its clearly identifying which motivations we are to shun as the impetus for our actions, and which motivations we are to embrace as the impetus for our actions:

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Galatians 5:16-26,NIV)

When I don't get an answer sometimes it is not because I didn't pray with enough desperation, but because I didn't pray with enough humility, or mechanically. That doesn't sound like you in this case, just a thought though.
Also, sometimes when we are praying we are really saying, "And not your way be done, but the way I really want things to turn out."

Sometimes there is some secret sin that is interfering. It may not be anything most people would even consider sin, necessarily, like a little inward hanging onto pride, ongoing anger and unforgiveness, stuff like that.

Sometimes when we look back we see that things worked out and our prayers actually were answered! Praying for you to know of any block and be led to remove it and also for all to work out well.

Jesus will return in his Second Coming and when he does, it is unlikely that you will wait in the queue for your turn, only because our future-coming new minds of Christ will be so supernaturally conected with Christ's super-conscious mind that you will definitely talk and listen to Jesus on a psychic level that is way beyond the speed efficiency of the most advanced supercomputers at present by mankind.
Faith is unseen evidence and Jesus for the time being will remain spiritually perfect in your heart during your life journey as a Christian, constantly learning to be fearless and to stay focus on Jesus as his abundance of peace and joy become overflowing to such a degree, you will know and become Christ-righteous - as if you are always sitting in church with other church members silently listening to the pastor's sermon, while at the same time, Jesus is spiritually strengthening your faith to stay strong and totally focused on Christ-righteousness that would prevent us from negative circumstances such as financial ruin and homelessNess.:
I like watching Christian television ministry programs like Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar and especially, Australia's Hillsong where a CD album I bought recently entitled 'No Other Name' has smooth keyboard, electric guitar and drum music together with the smooth singing sensations of male and female voice singers:.
Faith is also future-coming unseen evidence, and Jesus will definitely will make himself seen to everyone, either Christian or those non-Christians who refused to acknowledge his existence before they passed away, or those who continue to ignore his existence until visual proof of his existence will occur if Jesus appears right now - but I cannot judge them that they are too late to accept Jesus once he appears unexpectedly.'''*"'.

My dear, if what you are wanting to do does not violate God's will expressed in Scripture, then, by all means, do it! Give God the freedom to open and close doors to you as He sees fit and move ahead confident that you can trust Him to do so.

I have prayed like that a million times....and all I get is silence, at least about a certain matter. I need something Clear, clear directions......clear.
It has been my experience that when I lack clarity about a particular choice before me it is often because I don't want to do what I know I ought to do. In any case, God is never silent. He speaks to you from every page of His Word the wisdom, principles, and truth that you need to choose well. Know and apply these things to your life, keep yourself in God's expressed will, and whatever you choose to do will be the right thing to have chosen.

Why God is so silent sometimes? It is my fault? I know I have to refer to the Word of God but sometimes there are two ways and none of them is against the Scripture.

Perhaps God's silence is His way of saying to you that you may choose as you like. It sounds like what you are looking for are orders from God. Any fool can follow orders. God, however, does not want fools taking orders from Him, but wise men and women who know Him and who carefully apply His wisdom, truth and spiritual principles to their daily living. You don't need strong impressions, odd coincidences, voices in your head, or liver shivers to be the basis upon which you operate; not when you have God's Word to guide you. As King David wrote, "Your word is lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."

What about this silence? What does it mean? Is it me? It must be me.
Yes, it is you - but not in the way you may think. See above.

The will of God is such a mystery. Oh Dad, please, talk to me
God is not the author of confusion. His will is not a mystery. You adopt the devil's lie when you tell yourself otherwise.

Selah.

We all have asked ourselves this at times. And there is no absolute answer.

I believe, however, that there are times when our Father wants us to stand on our own two feet. We may think that this means he's unresponsive, but it may simply be--as with a human parent--that there are times or situations that call for the child to act on what he's been equipped for and trained and instructed to do.

Dear KayScarpettaFan. In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " ask and ye shall receive," there we ask God for Love and Joy, then thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour. That is what God wants from us, and in Matthew 22: 35-40: we are told by Jesus: " The first and great Commandment
is: Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
The second is like it: Love thy neighbour as thyself." Then Jesus points out:
" On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
Straightforward, and easy to remember. what do we do now? We ask God for Love and Joy, then thank God, and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour
We keep asking God for Love and Joy, then thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour. God will see our loving efforts, and God will approve and Bless us.
The Bible tells us to " Repent and Be Born Again." how do we do this?
We change from being selfish and unloving, to become Loving God with all our beings, and loving our neighbour as we love ourselves, simple and straightforward. Jesus our Saviour will help and guide us: JESUS IS THE WAY
We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on Loving and Caring. To love is a Christian`s strong weapon, and Love
is very catching. Soon we will find that we are slowly changing into the sons and daughters, which God our Heavenly Father wants us to become.
I say this with love, KayScarpattaFan. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

There is no such thing as a specific will from God, like a blueprint for you life. God gives you desires and you go after them with hard work. It's as simple as that.

The rich white man in the West somehow created this idea of a specific plan God haves for each person, and if he or she doesn't discover it, then they're outside his will. It's manipulation: people in power, whether in business, politics, or even religion, can abuse their power and tell people things to control their emotions, and make them dependent on others in power, creating a perpetual cycle of insecurity.

Life is simple: God gave you talents, desires, and you go for them with everything you have. The more obstacles you have, the more people saying "no" or "you aren't capable of it", then you are most likely on the right path.
