Creator hear us, for we are your children.

Father we thank you for all that you have given us.

We thank you for the lessons that you have taught us and
for the life that you have allowed us to lead.

We thank you Mother Earth for your beauty and sustenance.

We thank the masters of this universe
for their guidance, protection and direction.

Father we thank you for the white light that surrounds us, and for
that same white light which transmutes all negativity
into love and healing.

We thank you father, for the healing of our souls,
the healing of the Earth and for the healing of all mankind.

We call upon the power of the universe, to
allow us happiness, prosperity, healing and love.

We call upon the power of the universe for
good relationship to all things.

We call upon the power of the universe, for sacred direction,
sacred protection, sacred correction and sacred connection.

We call upon the power of the universe for magic and miracles.

We honor you Creator, as we honor all things seen and unseen.

We honor you Creator, as we honor our ancestors,
as we honor ourselves.

And here is a benediction I came across that seems to be credited to the Franciscans. And the text seems to change from site to site, varying in force and Christianese, but still, it's strong:
May God bless you with a restless discomfort about easy answers, half-truths and superficial relationships, so that you may seek truth boldly and love deep within your heart.

May God bless you with holy anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may tirelessly work for justice, freedom, and peace among all people.

May God bless you with the gift of tears to shed with those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, or the loss of all that they cherish, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and transform their pain into joy.

May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you really can make a difference in this world, so that you are able, with God's grace, to do what others claim cannot be done.

And may the blessing of God the Supreme Majesty and our Creator, Jesus Christ the Incarnate Word who is our brother and Saviour, and the Holy Spirit, our Advocate and Guide, be with you and remain with you, this day and forevermore.

I'm glad it struck you like it did me. It's a Native American prayer I found online. Here's another one.
Prayers of Invocation

O our Father, the Sky, hear us
and make us strong.
O our Mother, the Earth, hear us
and give us support.
O Spirit of the East,
send us your Wisdom.
O Spirit of the South,
may we tread your path.
O Spirit of the West,
may we always be ready for the long journey.
O Spirit of the North, purify us
with your cleansing winds.

LISTEN to the exhortation of the Dawn!
Look to this Day! For it is Life, The very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the Varieties And Realities of your Existence;
The Bliss of Growth,
The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived
Makes every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every To-morrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!
Such is the Salutation of the Dawn.

Good thread!!

This is one of my favourites, and it is also a hymn.

St. Patrick's Breastplate Prayer

I bind unto myself today
The strong name of the Trinity,
By invocation of the same,
The Three in One and One in Three.

I bind this day to me for ever,
By power of faith, Christ's Incarnation;
His baptism in the Jordan River;
His death on cross for my salvation;
His bursting from the spicèd tomb;
His riding up the heavenly way;
His coming at the day of doom;
I bind unto myself today.

I bind unto myself the power
Of the great love of the Cherubim;
The sweet 'Well done' in judgment hour;
The service of the Seraphim,
Confessors' faith, Apostles' word,
The Patriarchs' prayers, the Prophets' scrolls,
All good deeds done unto the Lord,
And purity of virgin souls.

I bind unto myself today
The virtues of the starlit heaven,
The glorious sun's life-giving ray,
The whiteness of the moon at even,
The flashing of the lightning free,
The whirling wind's tempestuous shocks,
The stable earth, the deep salt sea,
Around the old eternal rocks.

I bind unto myself today
The power of God to hold and lead,
His eye to watch, His might to stay,
His ear to hearken to my need.
The wisdom of my God to teach,
His hand to guide, his shield to ward,
The word of God to give me speech,
His heavenly host to be my guard.

Against the demon snares of sin,
The vice that gives temptation force,
The natural lusts that war within,
The hostile men that mar my course;
Or few or many, far or nigh,
In every place and in all hours
Against their fierce hostility,
I bind to me these holy powers.

Against all Satan's spells and wiles,
Against false words of heresy,
Against the knowledge that defiles,
Against the heart's idolatry,
Against the wizard's evil craft,
Against the death-wound and the burning
The choking wave and the poisoned shaft,
Protect me, Christ, till thy returning.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

I bind unto myself the name,
The strong name of the Trinity;
By invocation of the same.
The Three in One, and One in Three,
Of whom all nature hath creation,
Eternal Father, Spirit, Word:
Praise to the Lord of my salvation,
salvation is of Christ the Lord.

O Lord Eternal and Creator of all things,
Who of Thy inscrutable goodness called me to this life;
Who bestowed on me the grace of Baptism
and the Seal of the Holy Spirit;
Who imbued me with the desire to seek Thee,
the one true God: hear my prayer.
I have no life, no light, no joy or wisdom;
no strength except in Thee, O God.
Because of my unrighteousness I dare not raise my eyes to Thee.
But Thou said to Thy disciples,
'Whatsoever you shall ask in prayer believing, you shall receive.'
and 'Whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do.'
Wherefore I dare to invoke Thee.
Purify me from all taint of flesh and spirit.
Teach me to pray aright.
Bless this day which Thee give unto me, Thy unworthy servant.
By the power of Thy blessing enable me at all times to speak
and act to Thy glory with a pure spirit, with humility, patience,
love, gentleness, peace, courage and wisdom:
aware always of Thy presence.
Of Thy immense goodness, O Lord God, show me the path of Thy will,
and grant me to walk in Thy sight without sin.
O Lord, unto Whom all hearts be open,
Thee know what things I have need of.
Thee are acquainted with my blindness and my ignorance,
Thee know my infirmity and my soul's corruption;
but neither are my pain and anguish hid from Thee.
Wherefore I beseech Thee, hear my prayer and by Thy Holy Spirit
teach me the way wherein I should walk;
and when my perverted will would lead me down other paths
spare me not O Lord, but force me back to Thee.
By the power of Thy love, grant me to hold fast to that which is good.
Preserve me from every word or deed that corrupts the soul;
from every impulse unpleasing in Thy sight and hurtful to my brother-man.
Teach me what I should say and how I should speak.
If it be Thy will that I make no answer,
inspire me to keep silent in a spirit of peace
that causes neither sorrow nor hurt to my fellow man.
Establish me in the path of Thy commandments
and to my last breath let me not stray from the light of Thy ordinances,
that Thy commandments may become the sole law
of my being on this earth and all eternity.
Yea, Lord, I pray to Thee, have pity on me.
Spare me in my affliction and my misery
and hide not the way of salvation from me.
In my foolishness, O God, I plead with Thee for many and great things.
Yet am I ever mindful of my wickedness, my baseness, my vileness.
Have mercy upon me.
Cast me not away from your presence because of my presumption.
Do Thee rather increase in me this presumption,
and grant unto me, the worst of men,
to love Thee as Thee have commanded, with all my heart, and with all my soul,
and with all my mind, and with all my strength:
with my whole being.
Yea, O Lord, by Thy Holy Spirit, teach me good judgment and knowledge.
Grant me to know Thy truth before I go down into the grave.
Maintain my life in this world until I may offer unto Thee worthy repentance.
Take me not away in the midst of my days, nor while my mind is still blind.
When Thee shall be pleased to bring my life to an end,
forewarn me that I may prepare my soul to come before Thee.
Be with me, O Lord, at that dread hour and grant me the joy of salvation.
Cleanse me from secret faults, from all iniquity that is hidden in me;
and give me a right answer before Thy judgment-seat.
Yea, Lord, of Thy great mercy and immeasurable love for mankind.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Glory to You, Christ our God, our hope, Glory to You!
Heavenly King, Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, present in all places and filling all things, Treasury of Goodness and Giver of life: come and abide in us. Cleanse us from every stain of sin and save our souls, O Gracious Lord.

Holy God. Holy Mighty. Holy Immortal Have mercy on us.(3)

Glory to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen
All Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, forgive our sins. Master, pardon our transgressions. Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for the glory of Your name.

Lord, have mercy.(3)

Glory to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Dear God,

I have been numb and asleep,
Days pass and I forget to notice moments of wonder and discovery.

Renew and refresh all my senses.
May I once again appreciate
Colors at sunrise,
Clouds billowing across an azure sky,
Tender, green leaves budding on a once dormant birch,
Music beside a crackling hearth,
Aroma of freshly ground coffee,
Laughter shared with cherished friends,
Purring from a contented cat,
Gliding to slow music,
Walking after a fresh snowfall.

Remind me to open my eyes, ears, heart and mind,
To the splendor all around me.
Remind me that enjoyment and pleasure can be found at any moment.
All I need do is look.

Amen.

Maybe it is pointless
To wish for lasting peace
For all mankind to lay down arms
For all fighting to cease

I could despair of seeing
Peace throughout the land
No longer hearing talk of war
Blood mixed with desert sand

We do not have the tolerance
For cultures not our own
Seeds fly on an ill wind
From beds where they are sown

Hope lies in a child's heart
Not yet turned to stone
A mind free of prejudice
A child not alone

If all children of the world
Held each others hand
They could do what we could not
Make a Brotherhood of Man.

It's okay that I don't know where I am going
it's okay if I don't know where I came from
it's okay if I don't know where I am
it's okay that false thoughts linger in my mind and that I cannot always rise above them or win a fight
it's okay that I am human
it's okay to feel fear
it's okay to feel angry
it's okay to feel tired
it's okay to feel sad
it's okay to feel despair
it's okay to lose myself
it's okay to fall
it's okay to lose my mind
it's okay to lose touch with the ground
it's okay to doubt my existence
it's okay to feel imperfect
it's okay to feel weak
it's okay to feel shame
it's okay to feel guilt
it's okay to feel stuck in pain
it's okay to feel suffering
even when I choose dark, light breathes through me, truth holds me together
prayer speaks through my heart, I am still a child of earth
I am a free soul
I am never standing still
My soul moves forward
I don't need to understand love
Love finds me, comes out of me, love is faith, faith is hope, hope is light, light fills me into every atom of my being
light is everything
I rise above all dark matter and of every event in my human life
I am not my failures, I am not my mistakes, I am not my feelings or my thoughts
I am not dark, I am not right or wrong
Light will not elude me
Light will not elude life
Light will not elude eternity
Light will not elude life
I am rooted and intertwined with all life, all life's cycles, all complex matters, all divine wisdom
I am a being of light
May I slowly begin to detach myself from self-hatred
May I slowly begin to detach myself from self-destructiveness
May I slowly begin to detach myself from false thoughts
May I slowly begin to detach myself from defining myself out of lies
May I slowly begin to be gentle and kind with myself as I always have to those around me with ease
May I slowly begin to detach myself from my old failures
May I slowly begin to detach myself from my old beliefs
May I slowly begin to detach myself from everything that has ever hurt me in my whole life
Light does not define me by my thoughts, by my pains or by my failures
Light vibrates unconditionally
Love is not conditional
Light gives itself to me
Light breathes through me
Light never leaves
Light does not hold me responsible
Light does not judge me
May I slowly begin to detach myself from self-punishment and self-hurt
May I slowly learn forgiveness
May I not define myself out of things that happen or that happened to me
May I be open to heal
May I truly want my own healing
May I truly want truth to alter me
May I truly want truth to set me free
May I hope, May I believe, May I love, May I let my light shine
May I be vibrant and radiant
May I see the light in me not with my eyes but with my heart
May I feel compassion towards myself
May I have the knowledge and wisdom that life always unfolds as it should
May I slowly begin to detach myself from self-doubt
May I slowly begin to embrace myself with forgiveness
May I learn through life's lessons
May my soul go where I am supposed to go
May I find in myself courage and strength to rise above all false stories about myself
May I rise
May I keep breathing
May I keep living
May I meet myself
May I be amazed
May I be in love
May I be in light
May I be in freedom
may i want my own healing - sofie jansson - 5th of january 2012
