I'm sick of being kept up inside all day..

But I don't know what to do for fun outside..

I have a lot of social anxiety.. and I'm pretty much a recluse.. I also have a hard time connecting with people and usually fill up my social needs pretty quickly..

What are some fun things to do.. keep in mind I'll be by myself.. so I don't want to go anywhere awkward..

I don't have the resources for that..

I just want suggestions about what to do.. Going outside will be enough therapy for me..

The only time I go out is for work. Which is pretty much daily.. still I can't find myself wanting to spend time with any of my co-workers..

Start a garden! That's a good way to get sunshine and exercise, if you have any questions about how to do things, you can ask me.

I already get plenty of exercise..

Climb a mountain.

That sounds awful, lol.

I mean something social..

I like being social, as long as I don't have to connect too deeply with people. I like a happy medium.

Maybe like the Casino (I hate those)

or a bar..

If your area doesn't have free help centers, it's going to be tough but it is definitely not impossible.

You have to try and make an effort to change your lifestyle. That means cutting down energy drinks and alcohol, avoiding whatever causes your pessimistic views on life, and so on.

Try taking a walk in a nearby park every day for half an hour. Even 15 minutes is good enough if you don't have the time.

Absorb things that are full of light and joy. Avoid harmful things.

For me, after meeting Jesus, my life really changed. I was a pretty down-on-luck, depressed person back then. Life is still full of challenges for me, but God really turned my life around.

ok, social stuff...

I enjoy taking classes at the college because I can talk to people if I want to but I don't have to.

Maybe you could find some sort of events at the local library?

What kind of events would they have at a library? I'd hate reading to children.. lol..

I've been cutting back on the alcohol and the energy drinks..

Free centers? Maybe.. I could look into it I guess..

Join a local basketball club or chess club. There are lots of clubs out there you could join.

Basketball? I'm short and white.. that wouldn't end well..

Chess club? Sounds boring.. I can just do that at home.. lol.

Go for a nice walk, or a bike ride... Even just walking in the woods is relaxing and peaceful. Or do some chores outside, like raking leaves or mowing the lawn.

Or even bird watching. You might see some hawks or eagles. I just saw a bald eagle today. Pretty awesome. :p

I went outside once... totally awkward.

Go to a coffee shop with your laptop and then just do stuff on it while at the coffee shop. At some point you'll maybe meet someone.

I guess the other alternative is to go to a bar, but I'm not sure women find it attractive to see a guy alone or not... :\
