Hi, I posted on here a few weeks back asking for prayer for my spiritual life in general. Things have gotten even worse, and I'm really scared right now. I have trouble with increasing doubt, lack of trust, lack of assurance of salvation, being scared of God (not just because of lack of assurance - just the idea of God terrifies me because He is so big and powerful... I think I have control issues or something), and feeling split between following God and the world and giving in to doubt. Please pray for me! It would mean so much.

We all serve God, even when we do the opposite of his wishes. That often teaches us important lessons, and even the suffering you inflict on another could be an important lesson to them. That is not to say, do whatever you want, you will serve God anyway. You will be happier, stronger, and doubtless if you really learn to serve God willingly and have faith.
It is ok to serve God because you want to feel better. He offers us comfort, partially for that reason. When he gives, it's part of his deal. He loves us, he would not ask for obedience without offering comfort in return. What nice person would?

God loves you. Please read psalm 103. God's love is not based upon is at all. Even when we were still sinning and didn't care or have any thought for God He died. God understands He is not your judge but loving father. Keep walking around the house and say God loves me. He doesn't love us less when we sin. You cannot lose your salvation once you asked Jesus to forgive you He did and that's all sins you commit in the future. He has begun a good work in you and will carry it onto completion until the day He returns. Please google Joel osteen say so. Being saved is not about feeling saved. Jesus has done it all. He loves you. Praying for you.

I am praying for you. Even in your darkest hour, He is there with you. Don't turn your back now, take some time "off" read some scripture and bask in His Glory and his light. Pray daily and you will find the answer and hopefully it will lead you straight to Him.
