I went to college at 18 and it didn't get me anywhere nor did I meet people that changed my life to speak of I met people but they were not movers or shakers they were typical go nowhere in life folks. One thing I've been trying to do is to avoid the losers as friends in life rather have no friends than friends that lead you into worse things and drag you down. It is better to have one good friend than 20 mediocre friends IMO.

I just don't have high expectations for online relationships if they work out it is a bonus but expecting someone that is perhaps 500 miles away you have never seen or heard their voice or anything to "get to know you" online is rather unrealistic. The friends I have online are a blessing and a bonus as for the most part they are about all the friends I have. I think my problem is similar to you I like people and like to hang out and share with them but it is always a lopsided relationship dealing with them for the most part I end up having a lot more to offer than the people I end up around here. If people don't like you then you have to change the you that you are and perhaps they will like the different you. That is sort of what I've done over the last 20 years I went from someone who was very worried about what people thought about me and how they treated me to caring almost nothing for people who mistreat me and not concerned about what strangers think about me but those who I have some respect for. Respect is a two way street sometimes you have to hold back on respect of others to a "polite" level until they prove themselves respectful.

on to watching airport 79 now.... last one of the series and it looks to be the worst also but since I only paid 1.50 for all 4 movies I'm not upset.
