Edit to add:
To all who are sincere of heart I ask that you read the article and the PDF attached. Think for yourself and break free of the bonds that partisan bias hopes to instill in the name of darkness and falsehoods.

Your tax dollars will be at work in the ACA! What can you live with when you pay for it?

God be with you all. Amen.

Christian Colleges Win Injunction Against Obamacare Abortion Pill Mandate
May 23, 2014 By: Heather Clark

“Christian colleges should remain free to operate according to their defining beliefs,” added ADF Senior Counsel Gregory S. Baylor in a press release surrounding the injunction. “Under this mandate, religious employers have no real choice: they must either comply and abandon their religious freedom, or resist and be taxed for their faith.”

“If the government can force Christian colleges to act contrary to their deeply-held religious convictions, then the government can do just about anything,” he said. “The court was right to block enforcement of this unconstitutional mandate.”

:clap:Praise the Lord! How could the court decide otherwise in a country where religious freedom is the first guarantee in our constitution? :amen:

So they got an injunction against something that's already not mandated in the ACA!
been here:
Obamacare 'Abortion Surcharge': The Facts Behind The Rumor

which leads to here: Pre-Regulatory Model Guidelines Under Section 1303 of the Affordable Care Act (PL-111-148): Issued Pursuant to Executive Order 13535 (March 24, 2010) | HHS.gov
you know at some point? you might want to wonder why the conservative leadership always rings the "abortion" bell whenever they feel their base is starting to wonder why they do so little FOR the base and so MUCH for corporations.

It says the STATE will not define religious mandates, it doesn't say that religions get to define the actions of EVERYONE ELSE.

As others have pointed out about the reality of the pill mandate or lack thereof, the bigger point is: no one is being forced to have abortions nor are the being forced to take any abortifacients.

All they are doing is paying into a system everyone uses. And I bet a few "bad" people snuck into that college and might do bad things like have an abortion despite the school's policies of no bad stuff!

But I could be wrong. Christian college kids are always prefect.

It is a terrible shame that you hold such venom in your heart for Christians.
What a weight that must be when you are here among us all this time. :(

Please don't stop reading at the title of this thread. Otherwise all other members of this forum will be as proudly ignorant of the article content as those who have demonstrated that pride already.

For all other members in this forum who may care to read this article fairly and dismiss the detractors that hope you read their misinformation and believe what they clearly do not know, I would hope you would all read the PDF that is attached in this article. (PDF Linked here for ease of access)

If you all care to read that you will avoid the lies that the leftists in America hope to disseminate about the ACA with regard to what in this motion is entitled, 'the mandate'.

Which is very real in the ACA. Otherwise, as the detractors here hope to communicate to you, the judge in this case made a lawful ruling on a falsehood!

And reasonable people know that just doesn't happen.

Thank you all for your time. Serious replies are appreciated. Inflammatory detractors are in my prayers. :prayer:

Someone may have to help me with this religious freedom thing. If the ACA or heck, any insurance pays for blood transfusions, does mean by same argument JWs shouldn't have to relent to insurance regulatory mandates?

If courts do not weigh what is or isn't a legitimate religious claim, where does this end?

The court weighted this colleges religious claim.

Why would you ask such a question when you don't even read about that?

Since the reply to quote button wasn't used, not sure if your referencing what I wrote. However, if you are, none of the birth control drugs covered cause abortions. They are not abortion pills.

Sorry you feel that way! Of course you don't know me, so you only think you've seen something.

Actually most of my friends are Christians. And of course they don't act like the Christians around here.

But thanks for what passes for your "insight".

Considering that the ACA didn't even exist in 2000 when the EEOC ruled that companies that provide health insurance coverage for their workers but excludes birth control violated the Civil Rights Act of 1964, I'm uncertain why this is suddenly NOW a controversy and part of the "lies" the left spreads.

Thank you all for your time. Serious replies are appreciated. Inflammatory detractors are in my prayers. :prayer:

And anyone who disagrees with even your reading of what the First Amendment means have "Venom" in their hearts.

I am surprised the left cares to lie as well. But that Obama began the trend in pushing the ACA perhaps it is a partisan loyalty issue.

No. The ACA is called human decency. When millions of Americans are unable to get access to affordable healthcare some of us find that repellent.

And I never said that.
Thanks. :)

Well considering that was your response to my post in which I said that, I am left with no other explanation for your venom.

What venom you seem to have for people whose position differs from yours. It must be hard to be so pious and yet hold such bile for people.

No, it was not.
However, what I did say reflected an opinion regarding the hate you hold for the religious. And Christian charity compelled me and continues to compel me to make the observation that it must be a terrible burden to hold so much venom and hate for Christians while you are involved in a community dedicated to their faith and that invites them to reside in abundance.

What venom you seem to have for people whose position differs from yours. It must be hard to be so pious and yet hold such bile for people.
I hold no venom for atheists.

I hold to pity for them as I hold them in my prayers and especially when reading how much anger they hold for Christians who arrive at opinions based on Christian values. While the unbeliever may feel free to declare that Christians opinion is an example of opposition to free speech.
Which would be absurd because it reflects the exercise of free speech between the Christian and the atheist to whom they are speaking.

And that it would be an example of the Christian speaking with venom when they take note of having sympathy and Christian compassion for the very public angry atheist.

God be with you. This thread is about a Christian college and a court decision. Please discontinue making it personal. Thank you. And God bless.

If the title of the thread is an obvious falsehood, why should anyone waste any of their time reading the rest of the OP?

If I were to write a 500 word post about how Obama is a lizard from outer-space, should I be upset if nobody read more than the title?

Unfortunately since this is about a religious belief the accuracy of the belief is not a relevant factor.
Oh, the irony! When the early detractors of this thread believe it is not worth reading because of the thread title.

Actually the relevant factor would be what Hobby Lobby has been pursuing for over a year. The mandate that employers, etc... provide coverage that includes birth control.
The so called "Abortion Pill" being but one item in the contraceptive description.
