• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

So, recently, my OCD has been in and out quite frequently. However, I find that, every time I've had a time of peace/without it, and it's suddenly triggered, it will make me throw up. Just wondered if anybody else had this? I never used to have this problem, and it's only recently it's started happening. It doesn't even have to be triggered very strongly - just a tiny spike will make me nauseous to quite a degree.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but if you have, please share.

Roseheart continuing to pray. God loves you. Keep breathing slowly when you feel anxious I need to do this too it will help. Also I have been playing lullaby music to my daughter at night christian lullabies they are very soothing for me too. It might help relax you too. A physiologist said even smiling or grinning when you feel anxious and it is entirely fake eg you feel terrible will trick your brain and help you cope a bit better. Keeping you in prayer. God loves you.

Hi Roseheart praying for you. You will come out the other side you are more than a conquerer when you feel weak then you are strong. If everything in our life was easy it would not require faith. I understand yes OCD is a challenge but this can become our strength. Thanks for praying for me

I will. Right now I feel as if I'm at the point where some of the thoughts keep coming, and I don't feel too anxious, but if I make the mistake of ruminating over them too long, I know I'll end up back where I started, so I'm hoping I can be careful...
