I'll try to remember that the next time I see a person constantly lamenting a racist after it turns out he is not a Democrat, while saying there is nothing racist about about a man claiming I would be better off living under a system where I would be murdered for knowing how to read.

I think it a shame that this elderly and clearly troubled old man was set up by a woman who certainly has a reputation for seducing and using elderly men. Her motives in releasing these private tapes should put her just as much in the wrong in the public eye as Sterling. But amazingly in this case that is not to be.

I think what is even more surprising though is how it appears a community of people who are commanded by the Great Rabbi to forgive trespasses as they'd have those they trespass against forgive them, appear instead to be more vested in assaulting this man because a thief brought his private conversation to their attention.

I don't often appear in these forums. But I wonder if those faithful to the teachings of the Great Rabbi realize how such behaviors appear to the non-Christians here. Every action is suppose to be testimony to Christs truth.

Maybe I am wrong about that. Or perhaps they are not aware.

First, Christ's lessons on forgiveness are on a personal level. This situation is on a business level. Were I an NBA owner, I could forgive his actions without giving him a pass on consequences. He is reportedly ill and possibly in early dementia. The owners have legal obligations that require they act in mutual benefit. Removing him as CEO was a no-brainer. Forcing the sale is the right thing to do for the benefit of all the owners. Sterling's wishes do not trump that of the owners as a group.

Legally, the stumbling block to sale is his wife's standing as to what she owns, if anything, apart from her husband. Otherwise, the bylaws are clear and Sterling agreed (as all owners do) to adhere to the NBA bylaws.

Kinda thought you were talking about Harry Reid for a little bit there ...

... Reid really should resign.

You mean, like Palin? Like Sterling, there is a process whereby he can be voted out. Back to topic, please.
