Welcome to CF. We didn't grow up going at all. We never went growing up....now we are seeking. Hope you find the answers your looking for here.

It has been said that whoever wrote the Koran knows nothing about human nature, whoever wrote the Bible knows all about it!

Christianity isn't a philosophy or a religion, it is a relationship.
You can only grow in that relationship by first entering into it by allowing the other person to introduce themselves and say to/show you whatever they deem appropriate!

That inevitably means you will need to receive His Spirit, be "born again".

Jesus said to "learn of me", for that you need to take his yoke - he was yoked to The Holy Spirit - who brings God's power, love & understanding. (Matt. 11:28-29)

Dear Spencer, Remain steadfast in reading the Bible and search for how you can obey God's word. This will give peace to your soul.

By living according to your word.
