Define "life"
It's too bad I have to, isn't it?

Asking which came first isn't good enough?

By needing a definition, are you admitting that there is pre-abiogenetic life?

It should make perfect sense to a TE (Jews, Christians, Muslims); others may find it hard to understand.

Why did you include "in this universe"? That complicates things. I don't believe in multiverses but including that phrase makes it seem as if you might.

Anyway, "life started by abiogenesis" is just a truism.

There's another one coming.

Theology requires study, study, study.

I'll go ahead and assume TE in this thread and agree with you from their perspective; but my question is a deep one, and comes with a technicality.

What universe is coming?

Strathos was right to ask you to define life.

Define it for me and I'll answer you.

I guess we would have to define abiogenesis which means:

abiogenesis: or biopoiesis is the natural process by which life arose from non-living matter such as simple organic compounds (wiki)

Simple organic compounds would be any molecular substance with carbon. So CO2 carbon dioxide, would be a simple organic compound. Anything with carbon is organic, anything inorganic would be say NaCl, sodium chloride.

So the question is:

Did life appear in this universe apart from abiogenesis. So they are asking, could life have evolved from inorganic compounds. Now, there has been research done to suggest in ancient lakes around the southwestern USA that bacterial life has been able to use a form of arsenic in order to survive. I would have to get the exact article and read it again, but this data does suggest that yes, life can exist without the carbon element.

Life appeared at the Restaurant at the end of the universe!
I once had a conversation, where I tried in vain to get Aron Ra to tell me what the 1611 KJB gives as Satan's angelic name (Lucifer), and he would not tell me.

In the course of the conversation, I got the creeps and felt he was being prevented from doing so.

I don't get that feeling here, though.

I assume Strathos is just trying to make me regret I even dared ask him this.

He'll answer when he's had enough -- maybe.

After all, why answer the question, when it's more fun to hold back and let your buddies harass the questioner for awhile; then answer it?

Aww you poor victim.

Strathos and I haven't negotiated my responses - and I responded first. I'm too independent to be told what to do anyway ;).

Here's a thought - why don't you stop posting rubbish, and then you won't have people call you on your rubbish. Now there's a thought.
