When I was an unbeliever God answered a couple of my prayers.
Why did He answer the prayers when I was not yet a believer?
Simple. It was a child-like faith. The faith as small as a mustard seed that made it happen.
These are the facts of both prayers.
1. I knew if HE was up there, He being God should be able to hear me.
2. I knew there was no other hope but HIM to get the help I or others
needed.
3. I knew if HE heard me that HE would help. I just for some reason
trusted that.
This seems to be where many people struggle. They listen to other people or even their own thoughts that God will not answer. It is not Gods will. Or whatever comes to mind. All these things create a doubting Thomas thing in us and poisons our prayers.
We do not know Gods will, and we do not know if HE will or will not help us. We need to just ask and see what HE does. We need to not lean on our own understanding. Just trust in HIM. HE knows what our needs are and how to help us.
God gives us our faith. We can read His Word and that will increase our faith. We can use our faith, and by watching God answer, our faith can grow. We get test through various trials and tribulations. This helps our faith as well.
Would like to know what has helped any of you in the past and what is helping you today.
