I looked around me and I realised how much evil there are around me.
I noticed that the people around me partake in evil behaviors such as being judgemental, being vengeful, being mean etc.
It makes me feel sick to my stomach that there are so many evil in this world. As a christian, I am always kind toward everybody including my enemies because we are supposed to love everybody including our enemies, so I don't understand all these mean behaviors that those people partake in.

Does anyone else feel the same way as me too?
Do you ever look around your surroundings, and realize that there are lots of evil people around you? And how do you avoid falling into depression when you are stucked living inside an evil world?

People are evil because they choose to be evil. Anyone can obey God's commands and be good - this is quite plain in Scripture.

As far as being good in an evil world, you need to look at Biblical examples as there are plenty of them. You can also remember that Christ warned about this and even said "because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold..." etc.

I succumb to depression more often than I would like (at times this is the understatement of the year), so I am not sure of the cure. But something that helps is to focus on the good things (Whatever is good, whatever is noble . . . ): the love you feel and have for others, the tremendous cost of Christ's sacrifice, the things of beauty, etc. That helps.

I agree. It is depressing. Disgusting homosexuality, adultery, the corruption of God's great creation of love. Murder, hatred, violence... it's difficult to deal with all of this around us. I think the best we can do is avoid secular things and stay close with God and good things.

"all men are liars" (find in Scripture)

and God never said to put any faith in humanity - He always showed and exposed how bad and evil humanity is and said quite clearly that

there is no good in the flesh(mankind) ....

btw, many feel the same way as you do. some turn to God to be healed(saved). most do not.

put your faith in Y'shua's Faithfulness. trust Yhwh (God) the one and only Creator --- He is the One Who planned to save you , if you seek Him - HE made the provision for your life, even while we were all yet sinners "Jesus died for us"....

so trust Him, yes, trust God. do not trust man. God will never, no never, no never let you down if you put your trust in Him to Live His Way.

Hebrews 13:5

Amplified Bible (AMP)

5 Let your [a]character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] [b]Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor [c]give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [d][I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor [e]let [you] down ([f]relax My hold on you)! [[g]Assuredly not!]

look up Jesus' prayer for you(whoever believes His Word) in the Gospel.
He prayed something like "I pray not just for these (His disciples with Him) but also for everyone who believes after them... ... " ... and ... " Father I don't ask you to take them out of the world(evil and pernicious thoroughly that it is), but to keep them from the evil one(hs.t.n)(hebrew for the enemy of Christ)....

so, since Jesus willingly came and died for you, trust Him - He loves you and cares for you more than anyone can know/understand.

I see lots of evil but I also see lots of good. I see good in evil people and evil in good people. I never get depressed though because God is in control and when it is time, he will bring it all into judgment. Until then or until death takes me, I will seek to have faith.

Yep, the presence of evil feels awful, but we shouldn't focus on it more than we have to. However, God has already told us through Christ and the Apostles and Disciples that this world would be 'beastly,' and it is. Our job is to hang tough until the end--through prayer, discipline, learning, loving, connecting, and mutual support with other Christians.

Well first off I am so happy and filled with joy for you that you are finally losing faith in people (never trust the arm of flesh)...now I hope you do not fall into the real deception which is that the only one you can really trust is your self (if so one day you are in for a major let down and possibly a terrible break down) hopefully (in my prayer for you) this realization (which is true) will bring you to the place where the only one you trust in is the Lord (then you will be filled with power, love, and a sound mind) your heart will be filled with joy (trust in Me and I will give you the desires of your heart...not your imagination and wish list)...in His love

"Blessed are the poor in spirit...." if this world isn't affecting us negatively at times we should ask ourselves, 'why not?'

Remember that humanity's judgmentalism, vengeance, and meanness are the kinds of things that killed Jesus. This just serves to prove our faith; only God is right and the world stands convicted; the doctrine of Original Sin is right on the money!

Sin poisons the mind and the soul.

The church has always waged spiritual warfare and the newest form is multiculti political correctedness that takes every opportunity to make Christianity appear intolerant and hypocritical those that choose to love and obey our incorruptible Creator and be conformed to His image.

What I don't understand is why you are surprized by this? The Bible clearly teaches that society will become progressively more and more immoral as we draw ever closer to the Second Advent (2Tim.3:1-9; 2Pet.3:3-18; Jude.1:17-23) and constantly exhorts us to expose such depravity for exactly what it is simply by making every effort to live in accordance with the Truth (Phil.2:14-16).

The Bible teaches that with the sole exception of the Messiah who was and is utterly sinless, all men are by nature sinful and rebellious against God (Rom.3:9-20)...no matter how much some of us try and hide it. The antidote is to repent of our sin and come to authentic faith in the One True God and His Messiah as revealed through the Scriptures (Rom.1:16-17). We are then exhorted to focus our entire being on God and His Messiah (Rom.12:1-21) and to live accordingly. Only then will we have any hope of overcoming the world and remaining victorious in Christ (Col.1:24-29; Rev.3:21)

Dear PinkPearl. Yes that is true, but Billy Graham, the Evangelist, gave us good advice. He said: " God is our Judge, the Holy Spirit convicts us, and we Must Love." A Christian`s great weapon is Love, with Love we will overcome all enmity and bad behaviour. Love cannot ever be conquered or wiped out, Love will always have the victory over any onslaught of lies or evil behaviour.
Jesus told us in Matthew 22: 35-40: " The first and great Commandment is:
Love God with your hearts, with all your souls, and with all your minds. The second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourselves." It might take longer to overcome all evil in this world, but Love will always be victorious, and long lasting. With God on our side, we cannot be overcome.
In Matthew 7: 7-8: we can "ask and we will receive, we keep asking for Love and Compassion, then we will thank God and share it with all around us.
Jesus our Saviour will help and guide us: JESUS IS THE WAY. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and CARRY ON LOVING GOD WITH ALL OUR BEINGS, AND LOVING OUR NEIGHBOUR AS WE LOVE OURSELVES: Jesus told us: as ourselves, Not More, nor less.
The Bible told us to "Repent," and also to " be born again," giving up our selfishness, and become as God wants us to be: loving and caring to all around us. Remember: GOD IS THE JUDGE, THE HOLY SPIRIT CONVICTS US,
AND WE MUST LOVE. Only Love can overcome the evil in this world, but with
GOD ON OUR SIDE, who or what can be against us.
I say this with love, PinkPearl. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

the bible says that God's holy angels long for the day to look into the matters of man's salvation.
why is this? because man is evil..
yet through grace. God has shown us tender loving mercy and kindness.
what i am saying here, is that rather than becoming depressed at the rebellion of sinful man.. rejoice that God has chosen His elect and will work out their salvation in Christ through the power of His Holy Spirit in them.
i mean that there is so much to rejoice over.. what is there to be depressed about.. the Lord has it all under control.
did you know that the bible says that all of the Heavenly host rejoice over one sinner that turns away from sin..
so stop looking at it as such a bad thing.. because if it wasn't for Christ's sacrifice at the cross. the world would be a much worse place..
so, rejoice in the cross.. i find that when i sing praise to the Lord. i cannot contain the shear joy that fills my heart.. try it.. and do it often.. tell God what your concerns are.. i won't guarantee that He will change it.. but i can promise you that He will comfort you..
and know this.. we the saints, we love you and share in your sufferings..
