I would be hesitant because it illustrates a mismatch in lifestyle. I've lost 80lbs over the last 3 years and it took a lot of blood, sweat and tears (literally) to do it. I would fear that being with a larger man would pull me back into the habits that made me a big girl in the first place. I firmly believe that junk food is addictive and as a former fatty I have to treat it like any other dangerous drug.
Now if this gentleman had a healthy lifestyle, exercised and ate well, then there wouldn't be much of an issue despite his size.

Ladies must be precisely 2 months, 3 days and 5 minutes into their 35th year of life to reach this age of understanding. Upon reaching that age, they become "enlightened" and if they offer me their pie, I will gladly partake.

Glad I could help.

This, roughly. ^_^

To the OP: Age has nothing to do with it. It depends on how you carry it really. Some women like a guy with a little "meat on his bones", but that doesn't work for others.

It actually kind of sounds like you are asking at what age will a woman start to settle for someone who is less than what they really want. I don't think that is the kind of relationship you want.

Ladies, at what age would you say a lady has to be before she would consider dating a guy that was overweight. Not ugly he just had a gut and could stand to lose anywhere from 30 - 50 lbs?

Anywhere between average and looking fit.
Tbh though there are women who still date overweight guys.

I think it's fair to prefer someone closer to your size.

All my life I've been thin and I find it hard to gain weight. I'd prefer a smaller guy, or average.

I won't woo (I mean boo) you, lol. That's a practical consideration if you're a small thin woman. Crushing weight can be...

well - crushing.

I don't think someone needs to be a specific age to be attracted to someone *shrugs*

Weight doesn't make a man.

I'm 5'6'' and about 120 lbs and for the past several years, I've liked a "big guy" (5'10'', 230 lbs). I've always tended to like "huskier" men. It's a turn-off when a guy can fit in my clothes.

A) Why does she have to be a specific age?

B) Why is this question even being asked?

This is a good point.

I would date a guy like that, no problem.

Well, actually, problem. The problem is that I'm a teenager and most guys who look like that are twice my age. But, yes, if the guy were close enough to my age that I didn't have to worry about the parent reaction, I wouldn't mind.

Maybe mid 30s? Im becoming less fussy as im getting older.. though I have to say ive always been slim and fit but had crushes on chubby/heavy guys growing up. You will be attractive to a girl who likes you anyway. But getting in shape is very nice.

I think he's asking the question because he's assuming older women get more desperate and are willing to take chances on overweight guys, where they wouldn't before.

I'm a big guy and I've always had women attracted to me. Usually not the right type of woman, but I'm still weighting ( <------ I made a funny). If she wouldn't date me because of my weight when she's younger, then she's not someone I want to be with at all.

I'm sorry, but 230 at 5 10 does not even get you in the door of the big and tall shop.

As for women, most men have no idea what kind of weight goes into "accessories."

.

There's a difference between "overweight" and "morbidly obese." I would categorize 230 lbs/5'10'' as overweight, but not obese.

I'm curious what weight/height you need to be to shop at a big and tall.
