Is there a difference between judging a person and blaspheming a person?

You really need to be determining the difference between judging and condemning. We honestly SHOULD be judging the intent and attitude of everyone we meet.... with the idea of just being careful or wary. Nothing more needs to be thrown into the works.

Definition of blaspheming according to Dictionary.com

verb (used with object), blas·phemed, blas·phem·ing.
1. to speak impiously or irreverently of (God or sacred things).
2. to speak evil of; slander; abuse.

verb (used without object), blas·phemed, blas·phem·ing.
3. to speak irreverently of God or sacred things; utter impieties.

When blaspheming is used with an object (a person in this case, not God), I believe definition 2 would be applicable.

Dear davidgeminden. Billy Graham told us once: God judges us, the Holy Spirit convicts us, and I ( meaning us) MUST LOVE.) Jesus told us Himself in Matthew 22: 35-40: " the first and great Commandment is: Love God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds. The second is like it:
Love our neighbour as we love ourselves." Then Jesus points out this great truth: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
God wants our Love, freely given and NO conditions tagged on. What does God want from us? To treat all we know and all we meet, treat them as we would love to be treated: kindly and always with friendly words. Whatever we say, or do, whatever we advice or stand for, should be from Love and Compassion. Matthew 7: 7-10: tells us:" Ask and ye shall receive," then thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour: all around us.
We keep asking for Love and Joy, then thank God for it all, and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour. God will see our sincere efforts, and God will Give and Guide us. Keep asking and thanking God, then keep sharing all around us. When we do need words to answer or ask, LET US USE WORDS OF LOVE AND COMPASSION. God will guide us and Bless us. Love is a Christian`s great weapon, with Love we will overcome all opposition and enmity every time. Love is also very catching, and the people around us will
treat us as we treat people.
We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on Loving God with all our beings, and love our fellow-men and fellow-women, as we love ourselves: always remember that God is on our side: Who or What could be against us?
God is Love, and Jesus our Saviour will help and guide us all the way:
JESUS IS THE WAY. I say this with love, davidgeminden.
Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

God is Love,
Then Love overturned the tables and went after the moneychangers with a whip of cords. Love referred to certain people as pigs and dogs (Matt 7:6) and called them sons of their father the devil (John 8:44). :amen:What wonderful words of love and compassion.

Look God is Love, that is true. He is also Just, Holy, and Righteous. He slow to anger but angry at the wicked every day. He is forgiving but has been known to go off on the unrepentent. (Never without cause)
