What was it you said? Rejecting the olive branch?
I am simply saying that your use of the word "rite" is too loosely applied, that's all.

Yeah, honestly I was thinking the same thing. Different groups within the same confession can use different rites. For example, there are several similar liturgies used among Western Lutherans all descending from the Rite of the Western Church, while Lutherans in the Ukraine* use a liturgy based on the Eastern Rite.I am simply saying that your use of the word "rite" is too loosely applied, that's all.
So you can't see the Body of Christ otherwise?
Maybe this will help per Thekla:
katholikos is "according to the whole" which includes the sense of "wholeness/soundness", etc.
The only canon the whole of Christendom agrees upon is the 66 books of P.
PS. 1 Maccabbees itself says it's not inspired (no valid prophetic line when it was written).
RC has it backward.
Should be:
Catholic Church of the Roman rite.
Catholic Church of the EO rite.
Catholic Church of the Baptist rite.
etc.
NOT:
Roman Church of the Catholic rite.
Roman Church of the EO rite.
etc
I am simply saying that your use of the word "rite" is too loosely applied, that's all.
And who defines the whole? Not all Christians believe the 66 books are inspired.
What do you mean 'no valid prophetic line'?
Didn't she die about three thousand years ago. Your news service is really behind the times. Better swap for a more competent service
She's been resurrected to bash Catholics with. You must have missed the memo posted at the Federated Catholic Bashers Convention right after they handed out voodoo dolls fashioned to look like the Pope..
So you attended too?

This thread has undergone a small clean.
The thread is a discussion of 'Catholic bashing',
not an opportunity to practise it!
Thank you

Did someone say makeup?
You forgot to put on makeup......
.
Historically the only bashings that was done to the Catholic followers of Jesus is by the same authoritarian religious system that sanctioned beatings, burnings, killings at the behest of the authoritarian ruling king.
This can be traced across hundreds of years of history through 70 kings of that religious system.
Before the inquisitions and the crusades a significant portion of the religious institution were God's Holy People, though they had problems with the king and unfortunately they couldn't hang around in one piece anymore, so they had to part them into pieces.
Lest we forget what they did to the Holy people.
Daniel 8:25
And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
