Is his ego going to be his downfall?

Pallone wrote that he was concerned about the bidding process for the firm awarded the marketing plan; the winning firm is charging the state about $2 million more than the next lowest bidder. The winning $4.7 million bid featured Christie and his family in the advertisements while the losing $2.5 million proposal did not feature the Christies.

I do not think anyone who has watched Christie's behavior in office can miss that he's the typical politician.
This isn't a surprise. I wonder what else will be found out after this and bridge-gate?

What a despicable man. A willing tool for the federal system. He's just what we need to replace Obama as President. :sorry:

Looks more like an Obama administration Oops ... Christie office: Obama admin approved Jersey Shore TV ads | The Daily Caller
Aides to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are pointing out that the Obama administration approved of the New Jersey tourism ads starring Christie and his family that a Democratic congressman has encouraged federal investigators to probe.

Using federal relief money after Hurricane Sandy in 2012, the state of the New Jersey ran “Stronger than the Storm” ads promoting the state’s beaches.
No doubt the Obama administration deserves condemnation for its actions, but will it actually fall on its own sword? Seems unlikely.

My prediction is Christie is done. He may stay on as Governor for a time, but any aspiration he had to be President has been obliterated.
Agreed - the only thing left is to watch the rest of the storm blast through.

The OP is a non issue. The Feds have to approve everything, not the governor.
It was a traffic jam, people, not a war.
Christie will be fine. Sometimes in a debate, "You're an idiot!" is the best response.

His volatile behavior would be an embarrassment to the office. Can you see that guy in a debate while campaigning for President?
"You're an idiot!" He's scream at one of the people on the panel or even the person he was debating.

He's emotionally unstable and when he proves he can't be trusted as Governor he sure isn't going to prove he can be trusted in the highest office in the nation.
Having said that (and I agree, btw), with the current person occupying that office, the bar's been lowered significantly w/r to trustworthiness being a prerequisite for the office.

Fortunately this isn't a game of limbo where Christie has to successfully duck beneath the bar to win. Question is, can he even step over it? ;)

Can he see over his massive gut so as to know where the bar is before he even tries? ;)

Seems to me, our current president has left the bar on the floor! Lol! That said, I've no doubt at all, that Christie would trip over it! ;)

It's certainly better than "it doesn't matter."

It's not going to be Hillary, I don't think. Perhaps Fauxohontas will would be willing to run? :D

Christie will be fine.

You may be right. I gave my prediction, I did not come on here and insult anyone who may disagree.

Oh, and fat jokes. That really helps.

If anything this is a GOP-only fight. The extremists in the GOP wanted the RINOs out and Christie was in their crosshairs long before any of this came about. But as in true politician style maybe Christie gave them all the ammo they need.

It'll be interesting to see it play out. It is sad that a middle-of-the-road republican can't get any foothold before the usual politics gets in the way and trips 'em up.

It's rather difficult for a middle-of-the-road anything to get a foothold when their own minions do what his did to the road - figuratively or otherwise.

Gov. Christie isn't the moderate some think he is. He's a conservative who has shown a willingness to work with moderates and liberals to get necessary things done. That's a big part of his appeal to centrists and liberals. If it turns out he engages in petty shenanigans with people who don't kiss the ring, that really tarnishes the one thing that puts him head and shoulders above many other conservatives when it comes to electability.
