in prayer that is, why is it so hard to truly let go of our problems and give them to God and let him handle the problems for us since he already knows the outcome of the issues. Why do we as Christians have a hard time of fully letting go?

I mean, i struggle w/ this too deeply sometimes. I give things to him and then feel good for maybe 1-2 days and then, oops nope, i take it back and start to worry about it again and then it really really gets to me. I then try to give it back to him and start the process again and it goes back and forth like that for awhile.

How can i just fully give certain situations and problems over into God's hands and Leave them there? How can I fully trust God knowing that he knows my heart and knows my wants/desires/needs and knows the best thing for the situation?

I struggle w/ this often and haven't learned how to fully just let go for good. I mean, I know still thinking about it is ok, but its not ok to worry about it and then get all nervous about it.

I believe it's all about perseverance AND trust.

Sometimes we take it into our own hands because we cannot see immediate results and we don't have the full picture. And we all know that we WANT the full picture. We WANT to know if we're going somewhere. This is the primary problem with sight, that because we see, we demand we see everything. Like Little Thomases we demand from God more than what he has planned to give at the time, we want to see results!

Faith is about putting our hopes on a future that we cannot yet see, and yet cling to that hope with all our hearts. Trusting God is hard when we don't know his will. And even if we do know his will, trusting God can still be hard when trials discourage us and tempt us to take things in our own hands. More often than not, this impatience will lead to our own misfortune. We cannot see the future nor the full picture, so we cannot know the repercussions of what we are about to do. There is a reason why God doesn't want you to do this or that and simply rely on Him to provide you with avenues to pursue when the time comes.

There is a time and season for everything. Sometimes, it is not yet the reason for harvest, so we must wait until that season comes. But wheat grows and mature slowly. Seasons pass too slowly. And we want to see results too quickly. Sometimes we cannot wait on God because we have not yet learned how to leave it to Him and focus on other things.

Because we are not perfect!
It's good that you know not to worry, and that you can go several days without worrying. I too worry way too much. When I find myself worrying, I read Bible passages about God's promises, and it always calms me down.
This is my "cure":

I pray Psalm 55:1-2, 5-8
then I read Psalm 55: 22, Psalm 56:3-4
I then pray Psalm 57:1-3
Then read Psalm 62:1-2,5-8 & Psalm 63:5-8 & Psalm 68:19
I pray Psalm 70:4-5 & Psalm 86:1-7, 11-13
Then read Proverbs 3:5-7, 24-26
And then I read 1 John 1:9
..and by now I always feel much better!!

Good observation.

And then there's knowing what to do next, and rationalizing it away, then asking God why things aren't working.

A lifelong struggle inside ourselves.

Right. People talk about how we should do what Jesus did. Jesus trusted God and God sent him to the Cross.

Many times we want a certain outcome, so we're not really trusting God. If we can be okay with God throwing us under the bus, then we can let go.

I am not ok if he decides to throw me under the bus this time. Not with what this particular situation is about. Probably why it's affecting me so badly bc I'm afraid to trust him n let go n that it'll work out ok instead of the way I don't want. Can't handle these things.

God would not throw you under a bus satan would and he loves to lie to us about the character of God.
You need to ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you and reveal to you the Truth about God the Father and this comes by reading God's Word and allowing His Truth to speak to your heart.

Job and Jesus are examples of how far things can go. In the end God makes things right, but there are times when each of those faced misery and pain and through it all they trusted God.

If you are defiant in facing 'whateveryoufear' then it will be hard to trust and be at peace with whatever happens.

It means admitting you were wrong, so you may have missed out of blessings for years.
It helps to see this life from God's perspective, it's all about learning that he knows & loves us better than we do ourselves, you have to lose your life to find it. Looking at the promises of God will help you let go & let God, as you walk towards something it gets bigger & more details & what you walk away from becomes less important.

It will seem hard but you are developing your relationship with God & losing the old cruel lord, the flesh.
