I bring those things up when you post mean vids of folks speaking in tongues to remind you that one bad apple don't spoil the entire bunch sweetie.
Always have, always will. And I love you in spite of these kinds of posts.

Indeed.
#grudgesnobueno

There is a difference. Posting a video clip showing a pastor speaking in tongues as an example of speaking in tongues on a thread about tongues is appropriate. Your replies, in that thread about tongues, launching into some priest or bishop or some other person doing bad things is not relevant to discussion about tongues, is it?

Too bad, we could use more Messianic, I''l have to make this my last post because I am really not supposed to be here at all. I love Gt, its my favorite place. I talked on my threads until I was sternly warned that I wasn't Christian, and I have vacated from all other threads, this is the last one.. But then a forum must have rules or they wouldn't be good forums at all, and then the rules should apply to everyone equally but that is not the case. Christians can come and pretty much say what they want in MJ without much fear of warnings, but Messianics cannot do likewise.

And again, a forum must have rules, and whoever owns the forum should do as he pleases, and I am thankful for this forum.
Are you sure!? I thought MJ's could post in GT. I see them all the time, anyhow.
Sorry, don't answer.
I don't want to get you in trouble.

I am persona non grata on the MJ board, so don't feel too bad.

Sis, your beliefs do not affect my friendship with you in my mind. I can disagree with friends and even poke them a bit as they can me. If someone is exactly like me, being friends with them would be quite boring.Birds of the feather may flock together but I'm not a bird.

It's my understanding that some MJs are Trinitarian, others are not. Perhaps the ones you see posting here are among the former.

Well, you can look just about anywhere on here, or any other forum, and see a massive littering of letters describing almost any kind of religion, and seriously, all it seems to be is people adopting yet another load of more and different rules and restrictions to follow to try and earn righteousness.

"I'm 'this', and here are the things we do." or "I'm this 'other', and we have THIS set of things we do."

All, holding up opposing signs that each say the same thing, "Hurray for our side!"

What happened to just following the simple things Jesus taught? Who ever came up with the idea of adding all this fal-da-ral to Jesus' message?

MJ's are surprisingly diverse. There is a spectrum that, on one end, there are some who are two steps away from basically catholic, and on the other, don't even hold to the Apostle Paul.

Isn't there a separate icon for Non-Trinitarian Messianics? It looks something like a menorah over a blue field. If I'm remembering correctly and there is, then it would seem dishonest that a Messianic poster with clear Non-Trinitarian beliefs would post under false pretenses.

No, I was talking about haters.

I guess if you will know Christians BY our love,
you'll know them haters by their hate.

The "following the mother" mentality.
Your post reminds me of a thread that
I made years ago. Here's a portion of
one of my posts, (Notice the part in bold):

... we have one Father and many mamma's
and the mammas dont get along.
IN the church we have tribes, wombs, and maybe
we were born again in the context of that 'womb'
but the
Father reached us in that Reformed setting, in that
Baptist setting, or Catholic setting...

Problem:
But the mamma's dont get along,
and the kids still seem to relate more to the
'mamma' than to the Father.

See, the mamma named them names that reflected
the issues the mamma's had and rather than
the Baptist and rather than the Methodist, rather than
all these "wombs" realizing that you were created for
the FATHERS business, and rather than naming you
and preparing you to go serve the Father, they have
named you based on the differences
the mothers had and not the vision and destiny that
the Father has for you.

Paul talked about how faithfully he served 'mamma'
in Galatians Chapter One.
He said he was more zealous of traditions than anybody,
even to the point of Persecuting the church of the
Living God!
But, he said, when GOD, who separated me from my
"mother's womb" came and knocked me down, I
went about my 'father's' business.

being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me
from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen;
immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Then paul went through a lot, mostly with the Jews,
Why?
Because the mamma dont want to give you up.

We have splits in the church because of the very thing
you mention in the end of your post.
Churches disagree, and, instead of working it out, they split.
It's all about pride, and it's not God's will.

^_^ That pretty much gives a visual of Matt and Diane both that I'll be hard pressed to forget while posting there.

I'm WendyWrites at CARM.

First of all, Lilly Owl is telling a full-on lie here. I am WendyWrites of CARM and until yesterday, had never seen this post. Until today, I have never registered and posted to Christian forums.

I go the hard line when posting there and it's not surprising $uper Member$ can get away with far more than non-paying members.
There's a special prejudice against the atheists on board. And any Christian who argues on behalf of abortion in cases where it's necessary to save the mother's life, are relegated to being pro-murder by Diane, and are immediately removed from all access to all forums, to the restrictions of the 'secular members' only forums. Which are the atheist forums and the secular/political boards only.
I have no knowledge of any of this. Not when I was a regular member and not as a "Super Member". The claim that I "get away with far more" is hogwash. As in, stuff that washes off a hog and onto the deck of a ship.

Staff there roam the boards in sock account guises also, but they're rather easy to spot being they have the "Super Member" designation and a huge number of posts to their credit.
It's rather weird actually. The Staff member/super member sock, will post something that will bait the forum members to rise in a manner that will get them disciplined by that Staff member who then acts in their capacity as board police.
Again, I have absolutely no knowledge of this; near as I can tell it is more made up hogwash using "MY" name FALSELY.

So as the staff member that super member(sock account) that baited a reply that is violating posting rules, which are also at the discretion of staff beyond what the rules denote is allowed to be said, will then delete the reply they sought and got, while very often disciplining that member that made the remarks.
This doesn't even make any sense to me. And, it's more lies and hogwash near as I can tell.

It's like that old axiom some people make with respect to Isaiah 45:7. "God playing chess with himself."
In that the way the staff assume sock accounts and then go on flame bait fishing trips amid the forum members who are unaware of the disguise staff has assumed, are now playing chess with the entire board by pretending to be a regular member and then reacting as an official who disciplines those they baited to reply and in a sense ask for the spanking.

CARM boasts itself an apologetics research ministry. But they're actually very twisted examples of what Christianity is and as such in as much as need to make apology for what they're doing to the image of Christ.
Well, I'd say impersonating someone you don't even know online and then mouthing a bunch of falsehoods is a pretty unChristian thing to do, but maybe that's just me. METHINKS (that's for you, NewYorker, better go back to the drawing board with your boasts about how good you are at ferreting out people's writing styles, eh?) someone who would do such a thing had better repent and apologize before throwing darts at fellow Christians across the internet.

I've not been disciplined thus far but that's only because I know how to play to Diane and Matt's prejudices.
And it could be that they think I'm the creationist who is on You Tube and elsewhere; Wendy Wright, due to my SN. Though no one has ever asked about that on my page or in PM's, which is part of my privilege as a $uper Member. Having over 11 thousand posts to my credit helps too.

More falsehoods.
I get warnings just like everyone else and hide my head in shame when I do. The claim that I might be Wendy Wright of Youtube is also laughable. Anyone who knows my posting history on CARM knows I'm not her. Obviously Lilly Owl didn't do THAT much homework. (The use of the dollar signs is also a funny tipoff. Why would I pay the money and then mock the payments? Silliness.)

What a site.
Indeed, I love CARM, as witnessed by my number of posts there and my Super Member status. I apologize to Matt and Diane if they saw this and thought it was me. I wish Lilly Owl would come back, own her transgression, and apologize. She owes me that.

"Spiffy"--bet you kept this in your back pocket a long time, eh? Well thanks for the heads-up anyway.

Wendy, i'm sure you can handle yourself but just be careful around here . a lot of toxic spiritual energy being flung around lately . God bless .

I appreciate that, thanks. I am mostly here to clear my name, that was used without my knowledge, falsely, and without, of course, my permission.

yeah ... well i hope that works out . i'd say talk to one of the admins or moderators . i used to have a link for the active ones but seemed to have misplaced it .. i believe your best bet may be to start a thread in the member services center .

http://www.christianforums.com/f883/

i was reminded of this passage

In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. (Titus 2:7-9)

and hope all goes well with you .

In reading through threads I keep noticing this group called CARM being cited as an authoritive group. I've read some of their stuff and found it a tad odd that a group would have a mission of deciding who's saved and who's not. The following is a snippet of one of their reviews of a group:
"CARM cannot recommend any church which would openly deny the biblical doctrine of predestination (in contradiction to Eph. 1:1-11)"

I also notice my Church is on their "to do list". If this means what I take it to mean, then I'm wondering why they would waste time and money doing these great investigations when they could simply ask a single question.

Am I reading that right? Are they saying they can't recommend any but calvinist?
