Actually the name on head is symbolism of how they think. It represents the mind or the "inner person".The name is only on the heads.
The sea beast is not red or scarlet.
The sea beast is not red or scarlet.
John introduces new beasts/subjects with - a.
a beast /Rev. 13
a beast /Rev. 17
a great red dragon /Rev. 12
John did not call any of the beasts -great.
Think of them as opposite of the 1.Heavenly Father, 2. Son, 3. Holy Spirit. ( and 4. bride of the Lamb)
So Satan's would be...
1. Great Red dragon (father of this world)
2. Scarlet sea Beast (made in image of his father= doing lusts of his father)
3. Beast out of the earth= False prophet (spirit of antichrist)
4. Harlot
So Antichrist's would be... and more to do with spiritual deceptions, and not disagreeing with you, ie, just intended to shed a little more light, ie, hopefully?
Jack
Yes, antichrist is a spirit but working in many false prophets, including Christianity.
Many people have been taught by carnally minded men that Antichrist is a man who is yet to come, and set up some new world order etc. But that is also a lie.
I just wrote a thread on it in CS, but I'll open a thread on it here as well with the link to it.
The truth about antichrist spirit is given to us in scripture, and scripture proves antichrist is a spirit working in many false prophets.
You're going to have to reconcile the sequence of O anthrwpos at IIThess.2:3, ie, analogy of Scripture sir. Someone is at its head even back in John's time, ie, let alone in today's time. btw the antichrist that comes into dwell within is not the Antichrist himself at any given time, but the antichristian's power and propaganda, eg, IIThess.2:4 now, ie, this moment sir (Rev.13:14b & IIThess.2:10b.
Working with you,
Jack.
The falling away has been ongoing, just as that man of sin is now being revealed in all of mankind. Jesus said the last state of the man would be worse than the first, speaking of the Wicked generation (seed of evil doers)
And yes there is a head (that old serpent) just as his tail is the false prophet spirit. (spirit of antichrist, spirit of a lie)
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Isaiah 9:15 The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Satan is locked up in the abyss, ie, hell, and must work through his agencies, ie, the beasts in Rev.13 (antichristian power and propaganda). Satan will be loosed at Rev.20:7. The man at IIThess.2:3 has to be a sequence of men grammatically and contextually my friend.
Rev.12:12, "devil went down to you" has to be construed with Rev.20:2. Satan received a knockout blow from Michael at the Cross and cast into hell in person.
Jack
Satan was cast out of heaven and down to the earth at the time of the cross.
Says who? Jesus Christ, that's who.
We also see confirmation of this casting out of Satan in Revelation 12:7-97 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
This confirms the casting out of Satan (prince of this world) and the place of their sanctuary also being cast down, as confirmed in the above verses in Daniel 8:11.
Jesus said in Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Jesus also said the Prince of this world is judged in [URL="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?
Case closed....next!
Dan.8:11 refers to the "horn" and thus Antiochus.
This is the defeat of Satan at the last temptation, ie, and totally conquered at the Cross (Rev.12:7, etc.).

Jury hasn't return for a verdict yet,
