But is the sky the limit ? And to the extent a great portion of Americans can not even afford the drugs or go bankrupt buying them ?
You can thank the FDA, another highly-inefficient bureaucratic organization for a large percentage of those high prices.

The data would be how filthy rich the pharma companies are and how much richer by the day they get.

At least I would be curious about that .

Not all the getting-richer pharma companies are US companies, or do all their research in the US. My mother used to work for one that was Japanese-headquartered (but truly multinational as many big companies are) here in the US.

You mean Obama who has destroyed healthcare in America?

You have to realize I'm 45 years old .Not a healthy 25 year old .

Please don't tell me you are also pro life?

We have been RIPPED to shreds making decent money with insurance trying to pay our debts over MODEST illnesses. Typical needs. For 20 years.

There are some, i.e. a handful, a few, several, etc... who aren't
affected by egregious monstrosity called the aca. The peculiar
thing is, they think nothing of those who's insurance has doubled,
tripled, or has increased by as much as 10 times.

Why?

What % of your income is the double or trippled or that 10 times?

No one wants to answer that question .

Why?

What about you . What "monstrosity" have you endured so far with ACA? If your insurance went up ? Please do tell how much your total insurance is and your annual income.

I love how many here are using Obama's tactics and blaming Republicans for all the woes of Obamacare. I think people see right through all this.

I for one am not blaming republicans. I don't want to "blame" anyone. I just know that affordable healthcare has been more and more out of reach for me for many years before ACA. And for many people .

The "woes' of Obama care haven't affected me negatively . The WOES of outrageously expensive healthcare did affect me negatively before Obama even took office 1st term.:)

A totally unnecessary increase. How about you? Are you amongst
the tiny handful?

I say this with agreeing with some of the pieces that Obama care brings to the table, but to say the republicans got what they wanted when the law was brought to the floor is a bit of a stretch.

This was a comprise. Instead of single payer Obama went an borrowed some old half measure Romneycare / Heritage Foundation style program. Republicans should be happy that to the determent of our own people we still haven't caught up with the rest of the civilized world and put in place a single payer program. The private health insurance corporations can still soak up billions of more dollars and the rich can still make more money off the inefficient private system.

Obamacare kicked the can down the road so the private system can live on for a while longer. It was a bone thrown to people who want single payer to keep them occupied and to take the wind out of the sails of that movement. To convince people that it's not that bad because some reforms went into effect. A temporary fix band aid.

Agreed. But hopefully people realize the partisan politics of Republicans and how they do not represent America or authentic conservatism. The fact that Republicans are so concerned about such a trivial issue, Obamacare, is pretty sad.

OK first you are talking about 2 DIFFERENT THINGS. One is the raise in premiums overall. The other is the hike in a "platinum level plan".

Yes, 4.8 million people could easily be angered by a better plan if it costs them considerably more money. This was a failure by Obama and Co. to explain this would occur due to more strict requirements.

On the second front, you haven't explained your plan or given any evidence of costs and benefits vs obamacare. I have you the obamacare numbers right from the site. You can just jump in there and find them. You have given my heresay on previous plan benefits and cost. That isn't data. It's heresay.

Copy/pasta'ing the wrong map isn't a lot of work.

Costs are costs, whether the impact is to premiums, out of pockets, deductibles, etc.

All right, just for you, I will try to get an electronic record of the costs of private plans in Alabama for 2013 and 2014, but it won't be easy.

I have no clue what you mean about the wrong map. I used two different maps for the same concept. Both demonstrate a substantial cost increase in health care costs both for single demographic of a 27 year old lady where in 48/50 states her cost has jumped by up to 300% or so, and the second a more generalized demographic of all age ranges that show the same magnitude of increase, just in 40 out of 50 states, which is still 80%.

Would you have liked less spending on defense when your husband served in the military? How much should we cut pay for soldiers?
